4M Deep Cake
She'd do anything for a slice of cake. And this just proved it too.

The things she did were worth it. She had to deal with being in this hellhole, then she’d find a way to take advantage of those that were put in charge of the prisoners. No matter the cost or what they asked. She had a one-track mind, and she wouldn’t stop until she got what she wanted. That was something that her father had always teased her about. That she was stubborn and spoiled. She didn’t see herself as spoiled though; she saw herself as someone who knew what she wanted.
It had been ten years since the fall of the Galactic Federation. Since then, the outlying planets, the ones that benefitted from the protection of the federation the most were left to fend for themselves. So now, the Galactic Independence Force and the Federal League have their own jurisdictions, but they still butt heads over who has what power to punish what prisoners.
The Independence Force wasn’t as strict as the Federal League. That’s not to say they didn’t have their mean streaks. The Federal League was stricter. You didn’t want to be caught doing something illegal in one of their districts. Just a minor infraction would mean days in a jail cell with little to no food.
For the most part, both parties left the outlying planets alone to fend for themselves against whatever came their way. It was hard living in the outlying planets. If you didn’t have money, you were screwed.
“Hey, Usagi!” A rough voice calls.
This was it. She had been waiting days for it. She makes her way up the stairs and sees one of the guards at the gate. He holds the box in his hands. She steps up the steps meeting him at the gate.
“Here. I hope you choke on every piece.” He says. She smiles as the opens the gate and hands her the box. She takes it happily, after everything that’s happened to her since arriving here, this will be a piece of heaven.
“Better than choking on anything you offer.” She skips away. The door automatically closes behind her.
The man stammers and yells for her. His voice echoes through the prison. Some of the prisoners look back up at the steps as she passes by.
“What’s his problem?” one of them asks. She just shrugs. More interested in what she’s got in her hands.
“What do you have there, Endymion?” An older woman asks. She smiles and keeps walking, inviting her to follow.
There’s about five or six prisoners that follow behind her, all of whom are in the system’s worst prison for petty crimes. They were placed there during the Galactic Federation before it broke up, but their crimes weren’t pardoned. They were basically forgotten there.
She sets the box down on a flat rock surface.
Yes, they are about 4 miles under the surface of the planet, Demonia; an extremely hot planet during the daylight hours and very cold during the nighttime hours. There used to be 17 districts of the planet prison, but this is the last one up and running.
The six prisoners watch as Endymion Usagi open the box revealing a large piece of chocolaty, fudgy frosted chocolate cake. Their eyes widen and almost glitter like an anime cartoon.
“Let’s feast. I want to share this moment with all of you. This cake comes from a little bakery back in my hometown, called Matilda’s.” She says and they each grab a fork and munch on the cake.
It’s tasty. Like a piece of heaven. Soft and fluffy. The frosting is sweet, but not too sweet. The cake itself is fudgy and chocolate filled with pieces of chips, light and airy with a cream and custard filling.
Endymion is in heaven. She dances lightly, stomping her feet. It was worth the violation of her body for this cake and the weeks and weeks of waiting for it. To be able to share this domestic treat with her close friends that she’s made since she’s been here.
She looks back at them as the older woman sings a song from the surface. They laugh and dance, finishing off the cake, pretending they have glasses and raising them to the choccy cake.
End
