Woman is the Tree of Life
Musings on Pregnancy and Child Birth

I was sitting in Sacrament meeting at church on Sunday and as it was only weeks away from my daughter's birth my thoughts were turned towards the topic of Labor. This was to be the birth of our second baby girl, Acacia. She was named after the wood that was used in the bible to build the tabernacle of Moses. Acacia wood is known for being resistant to rot, decay, insect damage, and for being very beautiful. The Prophet Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah chapter 41 of an end-time righteous servant like Moses who performs God's will in gathering repentant Jacob/Israel out the clutches of the end-time king of Assyria and into a holy city of Zion. For a very stimulating rabbit hole and for your personal edification I highly recommend visiting The Isaiah Institute's website and looking into the groundbreaking work of Averaham Gileadi PhD. Back to Isaiah 41, the Lord plants Acacia trees and others in the highway laid out by this righteous servant of the Lord that leads to Zion. These things were all on my mind that day as I sat in the church pews. I pondered how labor in all avenues is necessary in order to bear fruit. Labor is a sanctifying, purging, and life altering process. It begins with planting a seed that is joyful to the soul. If it be a good seed and the soil and environment properly cared for and prepared, then the seed will begin to sprout and grow. Even at a cellular level. Before the loving Mother and Father can begin to experience and metaphorically “taste” of the fruit that is most joyous to the soul, they must first endure the 9 month gestation period. On a side note it's interesting to observe that different plants and animals have variable gestations periods and can range from 12 days-2 years! But for humans, 9 months where the seed, or typologically, “the word of God,” can make us sick, uncomfortable, frustrated, anxious, joyful, and hopeful- demanding of the body of the woman to maintain a clean and pure environment within, and proper nourishment physically and spiritually. In an unclean environment and/or with malnutrition, the seed or “word” is at the greatest risk of being aborted. This is true across all animal and plant spieces. The signs given by “the word” or the seed are given to awaken us to an awful situation on the one hand or a joyous situation on the other. If gestation is awful to us then we are prompted to take carful note of the signs given by the body- and we can then listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, who's role is to sanctify, and who will show us what we are to do to correct the issue. The word or the seed is quick and sharper than a two edged sword, unto the dividing asunder between good and evil. We will be most sensitized to the subtleties of good and evil during this gestation period. To obey the command to multiply and replenish the earth is sanctifying. It makes us clean and pure at an accelerated rate. This labor is sanctifying unto the making of one into a being of holiness, IF they heed the signs given by the word or seed, and carefully follow the promptings given by the Holy Ghost. when we repent and change we do it not only for our own sake, but for the sake of the seed to become fruit- even the fruit of eternal life. Being made after the image of the Gods, we can begin to see the importance of the procreative powers passed down by our Heavenly Father and Mother.
Word-links, a term that Averaham Giliadi PhD uses extensively, can help us to discern between truth and error, because we believe God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, we can count on him being consistent in his language and can actually find what His definition is for the terms that He uses in scripture. An interesting word-link study which I think are evidence of a Heavenly Mother and some of her names and titles include, “wisdom,” “understanding,” “tree of life,” and “charity”
Proverbs 3:13-19
“13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.”
