Till Again We Meet

Dear Mother, dear Father, where shall I start?

Shall I speak of the love that weighs on my heart or the sorrow that lingers within?

Your departure was too early, your time with us too fleeting,

And in your absence, I have borne my sorrow.

Your hands once guided me, strong yet gentle,

Shaping my spirit and influencing my thoughts.

Through countless sleepless nights and unwavering devotion,

You constructed my future, each brick laid with prayer.

The coins you saved and the aspirations you shared,

The sacrifices made were a testament to your care.

For every book purchased, for every fee covered,

You paved a brighter path for my journey ahead.

Yet life, in its harshness, had other plans,

And took you from me before you could witness.

The fruits of your hard work, the dreams realized,

The vision of me that your love inspired.

You did not witness the turning of the tassels,

Nor feel the pride in my achievements.

You were absent when I made my mark,

When success arrived and brought recognition.

You were not there to bless my union,

To stand beside me with open hearts.

You will never hold the children I raise,

Or hear their laughter fill the space around us.

The absence you created continues to resonate,

A void untouched by any joy.

With each success, a shadow persists,

A poignant reminder of both love and sorrow.

I sometimes ponder if you are close,

If your spirit observes, if you can still perceive.

The thoughts I express in silent supplication,

Wishing you somehow know.

I strive to honor your legacy,

To lead a life deserving of your light.

The wisdom you imparted, the principles you instilled,

Still guide me beyond this life.

The milestones you will never witness,

The individual I have become, shaped by your influence.

The happiness I have discovered, the struggles I have endured,

The resilience I have acquired from your teachings.

I have traversed the journey you laid before me,

Though challenging and arduous, it has granted me freedom.

Yet, the light of that freedom appears faint and limited,

In the absence of your smiles to share in its glow.

I perceive your voices in tranquil moments,

In the rustling of leaves, in whispers that excite.

The reverberations of love that time cannot diminish,

An everlasting bond, forever established.

If only you were aware of the legacy you have cultivated,

The seeds of compassion and bravery that have flourished.

You have molded my existence, even in your absence,

Your love endures, a guiding presence.

Mother, Father, I shall persevere,

Through restless nights and the break of day.

For each achievement, each sincere act,

I will honor your labor, your every pact.

I yearn for a time in a higher place,

Where moments unite those held in grace.

Where unspoken words can at last be shared,

And the depth of my gratitude will be declared.

Until we reunite in the great unknown,

Where love everlasting has always grown.

I will carry your memory, your love profound,

And softly murmur: "Until we are found."

For now, I will walk with your shadows close,

And treasure your whispers that bring me solace.

The ache of loss, though piercing and vast,

Is eased by dreams where your love will last.

Each sunset evokes your warm embrace,

Each sunrise offers hope, a gentle trace.

You are the dawn and dusk of my soul,

The light and shadow, forever whole.

I compose these lines with a blend of sorrow and pride,

To pay tribute to the love you instilled inside.

Your legacy, dear parents, will forever glow,

In every triumph, your love will show.

Until we reunite beyond the heavens' embrace,

In a realm where goodbyes hold no place.

I will cherish you in all my endeavors,

And pursue the aspirations you once treasured.

Rest peacefully, beloved parents, in tranquil grace,

Your love endures, my life's sweetest trace.

Until the stars converge and time halts its flow,

I will strive for you, with unwavering resolve.

As I write with a heart heavy yet bold,

I pledge to uphold your dreams, as foretold.

With a heart that aches, yet dares to aspire,

I express with hope: "Till we again we meet."
