The story of the child and the apple tree
a story and wisdom
The Story
It is said that one day there was a large apple tree with branches, full of fruits, strong trunk and branches, and next to the tree there was a child always close to it, playing and having fun, climbing on its branches, and eating from its fruits, and if he got tired of playing, he slept under the shade of its large branches And this was on a daily basis.
The days passed and the child grew up and got distracted from the tree, so he stopped going to it, but one day he came back to it while he was sad, so the tree asked him to play with it, and the boy said, I am no longer young and I need some money to buy some things, and she said to him I have no money; But take the apple from my branches, and sell it, and use the profits to buy what you want, so the boy gathered all its fruits and took it while he was happy and left it and did not return, so the tree became sad.
After years, the child returned, and as usual, the tree said to him, “Come and play with me.” He said to her, “I have become a big man, and I have a family that I am responsible for, and I need to build a house. Can you help me?” She said to him, “I do not own a house, but you can take from my branches as you wish.” To build your house, the man did, and took the branches, and left with pleasure.
Days and years pass and the tree is lonely and sad for the child who has grown into a man and no longer meets her. Suddenly he came to her on a very hot summer day. The tree was pleased with his arrival and said to him, “Play with me.” to sail away from people, but I do not have a boat to sail with, so the tree said to him, “Take from my trunk and make a boat.” After all these years, the man returned to the tree, and she got used to him that he would come back to ask for something from it, so she beat him by saying: “I’m sorry, but I have become too big and I have nothing to give you.” She told him, “There are no apples to eat or to sell.” He said to her: “No, I don’t have teeth to bite into.” She said to him, “I no longer have a trunk so that you can play and climb on it.” He said, “I don’t need it, for I have become an old man. I cannot do that. The tree grieved greatly; Because she does not have what to give, she is almost dead, her roots have become weak, the old man replied to her, saying all I need and want now is to rest from these years, I only need a place to rest, and the tree said to him: These are my roots and they are what I have left. You can sit and take a rest by my side, Sit and lie here as you like.
Wisdom learned from the story
We must appreciate all the blessings that life gives us, such as the blessing of parents, the blessing of health, and the blessing of the beauty and giving of nature, and we must constantly preserve these blessings. He has everything he needs when he resorts to it, until all its energies are exhausted and it becomes unable to give, so this child grows up and becomes a young man, then a man, then an old man and does not realize the value of his parents until he loses everything, and he needs comfort, so he turns to them again because he knows that parents are The source of comfort.
