The Land of Yannah

Deep in the thick of the world's most wild jungle, there's a place never explored or discovered by any human being.

Sitting in the center of the richest, most lush area of the jungle's eye. There, situated perfectly between three primitively landscaped mountains, in their canyon's floor, in a perfectly shaped heart, is a magical place called Yannah. Once inside there is a wonderland created by the Gods of the Universe to hide their most precious creations of being and every beautiful thing in the earth.

Here the most unique creatures, thought to be mythical or absurd in most so-called civilized societies, thrive for generation. Here they always were blessed with perfect harmony. The citizens were free and safe, since the very beginning of Mother Earth's time.

Now the first creatures to inhabit Yannah were the fairies, rightly so, they became the coordinators, counselors, historians, and royal leaders of the enchanted land. They built homes for the citizens of the community with their own fairy magic and ingenuity. They raised the great owl when his egg appeared. He was now the direct messenger from the Gods of the Universe and one hundred times his hatch size, which was ten times the size of the earth's owls.

His name was Paz. He was now just a tad smaller than the dragons. He had beautiful orange and blue feathers, with yellow and green highlights. He spoke only in whispers and only directly to the fairy council. He was ageless and timeless since he'd become a full grown being, as was the case for many in Yannah.

The entire legion of fairies was tasked with keeping everything blissful and in order in the community. Each choosing his or her career in the community once they'd become a full sized fairy and completed their fairy education.

Inside the palace, there was The Great Hall of Knowledge housing every plan and direction from the Gods of the Universe brought to them regarding every species of being inhabiting the community and the plants, and flowers, and foods growing in Yannah.

They did everything from building rose huts for the unicorns(with help from the adorably, every so helpful trolls of course). and custom treetop homes for families of pegasuses. They settled quarles over shiny things that sprang up on an occasion between goblins and their mischievous favorite playmates the kenarths. The legion of fairies refereed sporting games between minotaurs, and centaurs, threw lavish parties for the witches and warlocks annually so they could show off their work and even ran courtship and matchmaking services for mermaids and mermen with a one hundred percent success rate resulting in beautiful mer-marriages, one of the most honorable of duties, as most saw it. Undisputedly the most important duty overall was making sure all the citizens, from the biggest, The alluring and elegant Madam Phoenix, to the tiniest of sprites, were full of joy, and felt loved, and supported in every way.

Now we all know that fairies are bloomed inside the wise and humble asiatic lily, but I'll bet they bloom only every 100 years, did you? Or that each batch bloomed on the same day is called a Santhiera?

Every fairy is bloomed inside the royal garden in the atrium of the fairy palace. When it was time for the bloom, there would appear a magical golden dome, to protect the garden, It would stay in place until the night of the bloom and the Gods would nurture the garden themselves through the sky view. Each baby fairy gets their very own fairy parents who will be there at their bloom to take them home and love them and teach them everything they need to know to be a good fairy. The god-fairy moms and dads would prepare for the bloom-day for many springs in anticipation.

Each fairy bloomed with enough fairy dust to last them one thousand springs and then they would fade into a new flower garden, and the cycle would begin again.

Now even though the Santhieras bloom every one years, the royal flower only blooms every three hundred. The royal flower was always more distinctive. It always appeared to have a day and night time glow once the bud had formed. The royal lily would also sing a quiet song only heard throughout the palace walls until the king or queen was named.

And it happened to be the summer prior to the spring of Yannah's next Royal Bloom-Day. Everyone was elated, and preparing.

As the year progressed toward the big day, no song was heard inside the palace walls. The reigning queen, Laya, was becoming concerned. By the time winter came, she asked a messenger fairy to travel to the mushroom village to ask for a team of sprites and their female counterparts, the pixies, to come to the atrium to see if they could get a closer look(since they were the smallest beings in the community who were also famous for their keen vision).

The messenger returned quickly with twenty-two helpful sprites and pixies, eager to help, following closely behind.

Queen Laya quickly escorted them to the atrium, exuding her gratitude all along the way, "Thank you all so very much, I can not tell you how much I appreciate you coming so quickly, we are all getting really concerned.. Right this way"she led them to the atrium entry where they surrounded the golden dome.Spreading themselves along the edge evenly. The Royal flower could be anywhere in the atrium and never grew in the same place twice.

Everyone searched anxiously in complete silence for hours, rotating their positions around the golden dome hoping to see a glimpse of a glow, or hear the divine melody, but there was nothing. Later that night the queen beseeched The Great Owl's guidance in her prayers, asking him to visit the fairy council immediately, as she could not find The royal flower, nor hear the royal song and she was worried, as things were not as they always had been accounting to all the ancient recollections in the archives

Two moos passed and The Great Owl did not return or send any message to any member of the fairy council.

Queen Laya grew sad and restless.

Then on the third day a dancing sprite named Norman, came running into the castle just as she was setting up a tea for herself and her best friend, Madam Phoenix ,he began spilling with excitement, " YOUR MAJESTY! Your Majesty!" jumping up and down.

"Hello Norman '' the queen replied gleefully,"What can I do for our danciest sprite today? How are your parents and little Akayla?"

She was beginning a bit of a tangent. She was worried about not locating the royal flower before bloom-day and was scurrying and chattering.

Realizing she was being a terrible listener, Queen Laya interrupted herself, " My apologies Norman, I have been so worried about finding the Royal flower, I wasn't being a very queenly listener. How can I help you today?"

I've FOUND it! The Royal flower!" he exclaimed, double spinning before he continued, " I was in the storage barn and I heard a beautiful, light melody, and I followed it and THERE IT WAS!! In the loft!" He spun again and then did a back-flip. "We must go, your highness. I will show you! The song, your majesty, it was so beautiful! It's in the loft!! It's near the great owl's nest, you'll see, you'll see".

Queen Laya was so happy she flew up to the top of the throne room as fast as she could and spun herself slowly back down, feeling relieved. Things were in order

"Let's go!" She said grabbing the energetic sprites hand and rushing threw the castle, passing the swimming pools and over the rainbow tree garden and into the storage barn.

As soon a s they opened the barn doors, the queen was able to hear the royal song and was bursting with giggly excitement in anticipation of finally seeing it in person for the first time.

There" Norman said, pointing at the ladder.

Queen Laya flew up and was in awe of the giant flower, four times the size of the others, she saw. It seemed to be growing from the floorboards. with a patch of green grass surrounding it. It was in front of the great owl's nest that he had used when he was a baby owl. Now, when he visited, he sat only on the perch attached outside the window above the nest. The new flower had grown in the colors of The Great Owl's feathers, not in unison with the current Santhiera's, who all displayed a purple shimmer on each, in spite of having other combinations included.

In spite of the anomalies, the queen was extremely glad they had found the flower, and that it was singing happily and growing healthy and strong.

Queen Laya sent the fairy council members word the flower had been found so they could all come and see the royal flower themselves.

They could all hear the flower's song as soon as they entered the storage barn and even the most ancient of them, who had witnessed the most royal blooms, said it was the most beautiful royal song they had ever beheld.

The members of the royal council included three previous royals, Sir Kai, he had been king prior to Queen Laya, and had then been bestowed the honor of being her god-fairy parent. So Queen Laya had been very much looking forward to becoming a god-fairy parent herself, and had been preparing for quite some time. She had even renovated her royal suite with a beautifully decorated neutral nursery for the new-bloomed fairy prince or princess.

The group stood memorized by the beautiful song the flower for a while before the queen motioned to them they should all exit. Once outside Queen Laya made an announcement, "Since the royal flower has decided to grow in this honorable location instead of the atrium, we will divide the kingdom. The god-fairy parents will of course be at the atrium to greet their baby fairies, but let's have the rest of the community divide. Half will be here, around the storage barn, and the other half, around the atrium receiving those fairies." The council members agreed and went out into the kingdom to spread the good news to all who want to attend this year's bloom.

The kingdom was buzzing with the news of the royal flower being found.

Everyone came around the storage barn to decorate. Mer-families swan up the stream with strung glow shells, the fairies draped them all over the entire roof. The jinn created a fancy gazebo with colors to match the royal flowers with little seats for the kingdom's tinier creatures and the cast incantations to provide beautiful blankets for every fairy in the Santhiera.

The first day of spring finally arrived, and it was a busy one. The trolls and leprechauns were preparing the blooms-day feast (everyone always enjoyed their fruity pastries best). The dragons and warlocks were busy setting up the after-bloom sky light display that would display after the final fairies bloom.

The sun left her position in the sky, and the moon shifted into his, with sheer delight. His beams brightly shining over Yannah. The Kingdom was usually silent as all the citizen of the land, took their places. They all did just as the queen had instructed with the god-fairy parents and half the kingdom surrounding the atrium inside the palace and the other half at the old storage barn for the royal birth.

The god-fairy parents were up front, all lined p to receive their new fairy babies as soon as the golden dome disappeared.

The royal flowers song began to grow louder and at the crescendo, the petals started to peel open.

At the same time, the golden net began to become invisible and the fairies blooming in the atrium began to bloom.

The first fairy's god-father in the line was spilling with excitement as the first flower revealed the first fairy baby. He scurried over and wrapped the baby in a beautiful lilac petal blanket he'd fashioned himself. The baby fairy wings wouldn't be strong enough to fly for quite sometime. The line scootched along, each fairy's god parents stepped up oozing with anticipation, to meet their new fairy boy or girl.

Each fairy baby in the Santhiera was born with the leading color inside their tiny butterfly shaped wings, and then their own unique patterns, or additional color combinations that many times would influence the names chosen for the fairies. by the newly adopted parent or parents.

Inside the storage bar, Queen Laya was anxiously nervous and full of happiness, awaiting the arrival of her very own fairy baby. The fairy council was with her and each had brought their own special gift of a magical toy for royal baby. Queen Laya asked a helpful troll, Kaznia, to to transfer the baby from the flower to her, since Kaznia was much taller and the queen didn't want to fly carrying a newly bloomed fairy. Kaznia, was very honored by her request.

The royal flower's song began to fade and as it did, the audience moved closer to get a better view. Completely captivated. It stopped abruptly, as a horn was sounded by Jean-Luc, the musical cyclops, from inside the castle signalling the last fairy had been bloomed inside the atrium garden.

The royal flower began to peel back her petals in the order in which that grew and at first it seemed to be just more petals underneath but after a few rounds of blooming, everyone standing around began to see feathers instead of the translucent glow associated with the wings of previous royal fairy babies.

Queen Laya and Kaznia looked at each other and approached the royal flower together. The last three petals revealed slowly and they were shocked. The wings were in fact feathered, and the royal baby was completely wrapped inside them.

Kaznia covered her hands with the special quilt the queen had given her, decorated with small pictures of all the royal before this one in small pictures along the edge and including all the colors she's seen in the royal flower, which also match the feathers of Paz.

As Kaznia reached to pick up the baby fairy, one wing extended, excited to see her fairy baby's face for the first time, Queen Laya flew up immediately, The wings were five times the size of the tiny new-bloomed fairy's body and they were beautiful with the exact color pattern and the same type of feathers as The Great Owl himself. The royal baby had markings along her skin that none had been born with before her also, that matched the markings of the beak of Paz.

The members of the fairy council's chatter began to rise from a whisper, to roar.

Queen Lay shouted with excitement from her new vantage point, "It's a GIRL! The kingdom has a new princess who will become our queen!"

Looking back at Kaznia, she realized the newly bloomed princess would not likely fit into the new nursery she had for her.

" Kazi, can you please, give me just ONE moment." Kaznia stood gazing into the feathered pile, completely mesmerized.

"Fairies, the fairy princess is very different and very special. We must protect and love her. Let us now join our magic to create a nursery for her here, in this holy place, that her flower chose for her to be bloomed. She has the wings of the The Great Paz, and she will be more comfortable, I truly believe it is all a sign of great things." The members of the council nodded in agreement, cheerfully intrigued.

As Kazia stood holding the baby fairy priness in silence and awe, the member's of the fairy council and Queen Laya got busy transforming the old loft of the barn into a magnificent mini castle for the princess. They all held hands and flew up along the windowed wall and magicked a completely new space, with a large crib to allow room for the princesses' wings to expand. The queen even magicked an area for herself, as she never wanted the princess to feel alone.

The rest of the citizens, who had been at the blooming of the other fairies blooming inside the atrium, began to trickle over to the barn to try to see if they might be able to get a peak at the new royal baby fairy. The warlocks and the dragons began the light show in celebration.

Madam Phoenix brought the little princess a magic rattle, that she could shake to summon her very own pet, a strong and energetic pegasus with blue wings called Shane. The witches brought beautiful blankets and clothing for the princess. The unicorns magicked a cute sky buggy for the baby that they had blessed with their magic to be indestructible ensure the babies safety on long journeys around Yannah.

Everything was magicked perfectly to fit the new princess' surprising and delightful differences. It was time to announce the new princesses name.

Kaznia placed the newly bloomed princess into her crib, still swaddled iin her wings and quilt. Queen Laya flew up to address the group once again, (which now included a messenger sprite and many other creatures who had pressed there way up a the ladder to the loft nursery). The members of the fairy council aligned themselves along the bottom of the crib, as the royal flower began to rescind herself into the floor boards of the loft.

As the queen rose into position to speak, she could see the silhouette of The Great Owl, in to moon's light, coming towards them through the window above the princess' crib. He landed lightly on the perch fashioned for him just outside the window for him, and poked his massive and glorious head through the window and smiled widely.

Queen Laya landed, and aligned herself with the member of the fairy council along the crib, anticipating Paz would enter.

He sat, gazing into the crib of the new princess, rubbing his beak against the the wings of the future queen. He launched himself from the perch straight up beyond the peaks of the trees of the mountains tops, and then leisurely back down, this time using is magic to small himself to be able to fit into the window. Once inside, he was still four fairies tall. He greeted every member of the fairy council and Kaznia, the troll, hugging each of them, warmly, into his wings. Each feeling their own magic boosting through his magical embrace. They all fell silent once again as he stepped back to speak in his trademark whisper, " She will be called Divinity, for she is divine. she has my feathers, and was born here, where I myself was forged from the moon's light, star dust, and fairy love. As I did live here, so shall she. And when she is crowned queen, she will be the forever queen of Yannah, timeless, her magic, limitless. She is blessed with infinite love and will change Yannah forever. She is kindness." They were shock at what they heard, recording every word in their hearts.

In a wave of his wing, he was back outside on his perch and at his full size. the crowd that had formed outside the storage barn roared with exuberant praise and all their might at the sight of the magical display of The Great Paz. He took off into the moon's light and all watched until he became a dot, and then disappeared into the darkness. Each curious as to when he might return.

Queen Laya flew up into the windo to announce the name given to the newly bloomed princess, "The Great Owl, Paz, has spoken, the newly bloomed princess shall be called Princess Divinity, for she is most divine!" she proclaimed with pride. She felt very proud to be the god-fairy parent of the only fairy bloomed with feather wings in the history of Yannah, and the only to receive their name from Paz directly.

On the third day after the fairies bloomed, the queen called for messengers from each village to carry word to everyone of the entire message regarding the princess to every village. Everyone was so excited, especially when she told them she would be the queen to change Yannah forever. They each had their own image in mind for what that could mean.

As the seasons turned, Princess Divinity grew big and strong. Paz would come back to sing to her on occasion and personally taught her to fly when she turned three springs.

Throughout her fairy school years, many modification were made throughout to accommodate her unusual wing span in fairyland. The sky playground was upgraded so she could tube slide. Each year her teachers class rooms were modified to include a larger desk for her in each of her work areas.

She was loved by all in the kingdom it seemed, but her best friends were a young, bubbly witch named Roxy, three fairies who bloomed in the same Santhiera as her, twins who doubled bloomed in the same lily, Lolly and Shy, and another who was very bright, in color and in intellect, called Aioki-Ma and a muscular sprite names Kahaun. Each week Princess Divinity and her friends(with her pet pegasus, Shane always in tow) would visit different villages in the kingdom. They would take sweet treats to the mer-families in the lagoon and go up the mountain to visit with Madam Phoenix. They would helped the sprites build a sprite water park and always had a kind word for everyone who crossed their path.

The Princess spent all of her free time in the hall of knowledge learning all she could to be a good queen when it was her time and was moving through fairy school faster than any fairy before her.

Life in the kingdom was more enjoyable with the love she insisted on bringing into every situation and all was well in Yannah, or at least that's how it seemed.

One day, Queen Laya was having tea with Madam Phoenix delightfully sharing pictures on Princess Divinity in fairy cheercamp and fairy sky-dance practices when the princess arrived with her friends.

Placing kisses on the cheek of Queen Laya, and the beak of Madam Phoenix she greated them with cheer, "Good afternoon beautiful ladies! It's a glorious day! You both look magically radiant! Aunt Phoenix, look at your feathers, so firey! And god-fairy mom, look at your glow!" Both wewre blushing.

"Thank you honeypot, and what are you all up to today?" The queen asked.

Spinning upward in excitement just a bit the princess announced, "STUDY PARTY! I am going to share some of what I've learned in my own study time in the hall of knowledge with then, if it's ok with you god-fairy mom? I really want to show them the golden scroll and the ancients maps of the canyon"

Queen Laya smiled, very impressed with the princesses generosity. " Of course you can, just please, return everything properly when you guys are all done".

"Thank you so much Queen Laya" the young guests said in unison. Proceeding towards the kitchen to pick up snacks for their study party.

Shy was the most silent of the fairies, she had only spoken twice since the day of her bloom. She quickly found a book about mermaid houses and flew up to a corner to read in silence.

Lolly was silly and loud, the opposite of her sister. She magicked herself a boombox and was playing some tunes from the fairy radio station while dancing in the middle of the room.

Aioki was immediately drawn to the golden scroll, which has preserved in a large glass case. She was thrilled. She was sure if she could read the ancient text, she would be able to figure out her true talent that wold point her in the right direction for her fairy career.

Kahaun found a fitness book on raising strong dragons that intrigued him and quickly became immersed in the diagrams of the exercises.

Seeing all of her friends so happy made Princess Divinity very happy. She flew over to lolly, who was still dancing in the middle of the room and gave her a small book that had ancient goblin song lyrics and then flew over to the glass case and opened it up, tugging it a bit to reveal a portion she knew included Aioki's name. She was pleased they were all gaining some together.

The joy filled princess was unaware, there was in fact a fairy who wasn't a fan of her. She was bloomed in the same Santhiera as the princess and didn't think a fairy that looks so different should be queen. Her name was Glexi.

While the princess and her friends studied, Glexi and her friends were planning to sabotage the princesses upcoming sweet sixteenth ball.

Glexi had three friends, a gnome named Pierre, a pixie called Two, and a fairy born in Santhiera before herself and the princess called Aura.

The four pair had a list of complaints about the princess. Besides her looking very different, the reconstruction of things to fit her wings bothered them. They also thought having one queen forever was unfair.

" Let's tell everyone what we think of her, and have our own party!" The three friends agreed and the foursome went out into the kingdom spreading the message.

On the day of the ball, they had successfully convinced half the kingdom Princess Divinity does not deserve to be queen.

Queen Lay was upset once she realized only half the kingdom showed up. She was getting together, all the fairies and sprites so they could go out to find out what was going on.

Princess Divinity heard a commotion going on outside. She looked at Lolly and Shy and they all flew towards the palace entrance to see what was going on.

There stood the group of citizens who were absent from the bar, who had been convinced the princess should get to be queen by Glexi and her friends with Glexi flying low in the center of the group. They had torch lights and all looked very angry.

Queen Laya and the rest of the fairy council joined the princess and her friends outside, with the rest of the citizens who were attending the party following closely behind.

"We the citizens of Yannah do not want an owl feathered fairy for our forever queen. She is not special. She is odd, an abominable creature and not a fairy at all!" shouted Glexi, the crowd groaning and cheering in agreement.

Princess Divinity landed in front of the group alone. Glexi followed her, scowling and ready to. fight.

But the princess had a better idea, she wrapped Glexi up in her left wing firmly and flew off as fast as she could with her into the middle of the dark forest, only Glexi's wings could be seen by either of them.

"Have I hrt you?" asked the princess sincerely.

"NO!", Glexi snapped back.

Princess Divinity wrapped the angry fairy inside her wings and held her tightly. Glexi could feel her magi multiply, and she knew then the princess had in her, the same magic as The Great Paz, and she was, in fact different, but different in a positive and loving way. Glexi was instantly filled with joy, and cried tears of happiness as she sat in the princess' magically embrace.

The pair sat chatting in the darkness before returning to the palace where Queen Laya was allowing each person to state their claims of why they were unhappy when The Great Owl careened towards them all without any warning.

He perched himself atop the palace entrance and flapped both wings with all his might causing everyone to fall silent at his power.

"STOP!", he yelled. All the fairies and dragons landed. Now everyone was looking up at him. "Glexi, has something to say to you all'.

Glexi was surprised he had even known her name, let alone, of this situation and the conversation and love she had shared with the princess in the forest of darkness just moments before. She flew up to be just a little lower than he was and in everyone's sight.

" I WAS WRONG!" she shouted. "Please everyone, Princess Divinity IS our forever queen! She has more love in her, then any of us, she even still gave love to me after I tried so hard to ruin her ball. She has in her the magic of The Great Paz", pointing to him," They are united and we are all blessed to have her with us, all bow to the new queen of Yannah, Queen Divinity!" Queen Laya smiled, and placed her crown on the head of her fairy god-daughter and then joined the kingdom as they all bowed.

The princess was so happy, she flew up to Glexi and gave her a hug again.

"I have an announcement, in my first act as queen, I want to make a new rule that everyone can live in any village they choose, not just the ones with the beings the same as they are and every new season we will have a royal ball for everyone! I promise to rule Yannah with my heart and if ever again anyone is unhappy, we will make it right! We are all family! I love you all! I love you Glexi!"

The young Glexi was happier than she ever imagined. You see all along she just wanted to be the princess' friend, but now, she was friends with the best queen ever known to the land of Yannah.

Everyone cheered and the ball went on with everyone in attendance, even The Great Paz.
