Baby Boomers

It was the largest generation in the United States for decades. Millennials have surpssed them as the largest generation in 2019. That is because the baby boomer population is declining due to deaths, and the Millennials are increasing due to immigration. The Boomer population has peaked and is shrinking as deaths begin to exceed the rate of immigration.

The Race Begins

And there off, as they say at horse races. No matter how you have lived your life, whether you have been good to your family or not, there's one thing for certain, you don't know if you are going to be alone in your older age.

Many fathers, and even mothers that have not been there for their children, and reach out to ensure they do not grow old alone.

There Are Winners And Losers

Depending on your DNA, you can take to one parent more than the other.

Some parents do everything for their children and still end up alone. Giving and being a good person, does not guarantee you will not end up alone in your old age.

And being a not so nice person does not guarantee you will end up alone. Many, I have observed who were not so nice to their children, still have them there in their final days.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, and no explanation.

So If You Are A Member of the Silent Generation

There are 19 million to 23 million still alive today. The population is declining as members of this generation are steadily passing over the rainbow bridge, as they are in their late seventies, eighties and ninities. They are generally considered to be born from 1928 to 1945.

And If You Are A Member Of The Baby Boomer Generation

There are an estimated 73-76 million Baby Boomers still alive in the United states today, born between 1946 and 1964. While approximately 76 milliom babies were born in this period the population includes immigrants to make up for deaths. It has been reported that 11 million baby boomers had already died by 2012, but immigrants kept the population in the US relatively high.

All Baby Boomers will be 65 or older by 2030.

The Baby Boomer population make up 20% of the US Population.

They are the second largest generation after the Millennials.

Generation X

These are for people that were born between 1965 and 1980. This is the generation that followed the baby boomers and precedes the millennials.

I call them the sought after generation, because the baby boomers are reaching out to find anyone that can assist them in their older age.

The people of the Generation X will be 60 and the youngest 45 by the end of 2025. They too are slipping into older age.

I had a son that was murdered in 2015, and he was suppose to inherit whatever we had, and he was suppose to be my executor. I am estranged from my youngest son, for reasons I do not understand, and therefore my only two Grandchildren, are estranged also.

I am fresh out of ideas for an executor. I am 75 and in poor health, and my husband is 70 and has had cancer already once.

I am already trying to clean my house out and selling things, I don't need. It is indeed incredible the amount of things you can accumulate in 30 plus years that you don't need.
