The morning after I took my life.
The morning after I took my life. I woke with a warm kiss from the rising sun. He asked me what have I done, I looked up and saw his face, how sad he was, losing someone he can't replace. I cried out to him but it was too late, the rain clouds already covered his face. I ran downstairs down the hall, open my door, and ran out to the street. I saw my next-door neighbors dog, how he was so sad, laying by the fence, he looked right through me.
The morning after I took my life. I always made sure to give him pats, oh how he used to be so happy wagging his tall with his nose to the wind, looking at me looking at him. I walked to my garden and sat on my bench, I saw the roses whithering away, oh how love changed them this way. I looked over to the street to see the little boy looking at me, with tears in his eyes waving goodbye. The morning after I took my life. I ran to my favorite tree in the park, oh how love has taken its time, the leaves were falling one by one. No love was shown to the tree any longer, the morning after I took my life. I went to my mother and father's house, oh to my surprise nobody was home, it was silent and dark. I saw the paper still on the doorsteps. I saw there on the front page, ”The boy who never lived, just died.” I saw the picture of me, oh how sad I was, wanting to go up above. The morning after I took my life. I went to the local cemetery, and saw my family and friends all there, mourning and crying as the rain n fell. I saw my little sister, oh how numb she was, I got down to her level and tried to tell her please baby sister don't do as I did. I got in the car with my mother and my father, I sat in the back with my sister, not a word was said, just the rain was heard tapping on the windows. I followed my sister into her room, I tried to talk to her but she couldn't hear me. I cried out NO as I saw her start to write a letter, the same words I wrote to my mother and father, The morning after I took my life. I tried to hold her she was cold to the touch, I taught her a lesson, of love that was not yet enough. I heard my mother and father run into her room and I looked at them in despair. My mother and father held my sister tight and told her what your brother did were not all right. I heard my baby sister say alright. But I want to be with my brother, he promised me he would never leave, I bet he's just playing hide and go seek, I can find him she said! I always do! My mother and father cried and let her go. I saw her run into the backyard, she looked in my usual hiding spots, the morning after I took my life. I went to the backyard to join her one last time. She ran over to my grave and said I found you, big brother! Wake up silly...wake up... she said you can't go, you never broke your promise before...wake up...wake up...the morning after I took my life.
