The all might dollar! I've lost connections with people over misunderstanding of it, and even had people pretend to be my friend just to see how they can get from me. I write this for my daughter and two sons just incase of my untimely death. No, I feel find and I don't anticipate anything happening soon. However, that is the common problem with most people, they live as if they are invincible. Nonetheless, I hope that something I say in this will put some thought into my kids (and whoever else) if they cannot hear these words come out of my mouth. Unfortunately, I cannot count on the other side to teach morals and good faith. That is somewhat my mistake and another story.

Chasing the "bag" as the young folks would say today. Yes, the world operates off of money and we as blacks aren't given a fair shot at most opportunities outside of sports and entertainment. The system is not set up for one person making an honest and average living to survive. The list goes on and we have every reason under the sun to eat each others like dogs. We are conditioned by our very surroundings. It's like the bad reputation that Pit Bull Dogs receive as being vicious fighting dogs, yet if raised in a loving environment; they can turn out to be loving and caring dogs.

We have been presented the unfair and tactical playing fields as long as I can remember. There is nothing new under the sun! The cycle continues to fight each other over something at most times we fail to pass on to our heirs, legacy and wealth. Society has us too busy of chasing the bag and individualizing ourselves instead of working together and building on common dream. This desire for money deters us from properly evaluating true friendship, which can last over the test of time and be there when you need it.

Just because someone has money, that is not an indication of someone loving you or being your friend. It is really disappointing looking back over the years and even in today's time, the entertainers and sports figures throwing money around like water; and the women equating this to a level of love toward them. Take the most precious attribute of a person and if you see value in that attribute without money, then that person might be worth keeping. Money comes and goes, but the character of a person will last forever. Money will only magnify who you truly are inside. Build that person up inside and find some positive morals to stand on and know common good and the exact opposite.

Yes, we operate in a world where it is important to have money to survive and money to operate and have basic needs. Don't be a fool and give everyone your money, but if you have it to give, be careful how you give it. Watch out for those who "freely" give it. The lessons about money can go on for days. However, the most important thing to understand about money is to how to make it work for you and how to make more of it while you are sleeping.

I hope and pray that this society improves and learn how to work together and build legacies to pass down to their kids. Money can be made within a day's time, but to create wealth takes time and teamwork. There is not a wealthy man or family out there today that will tell you that one man created the family wealth. It was passed down to them, or there was some type of teamwork that created the end product. Find someone with a common goal and purpose and stop measuring people by how much money you think they have and look at the heart, and not the "bag".
