The Approaching of the Lord
The Approaching of the Lord is a great

One day, OME kids were affecting everything in their playground when an envoy rode through the town, blowing a trumpet, and crying resoundingly, "The Lord! the Lord passes by this street today. Prepare for the Lord!"
The kids halted their play and took a gander at each other.
"Did you hear that?" they said. "The Lord is coming. He might investigate the wall and see our jungle gym; who can say for sure? We should take care of it."
The jungle gym was tragically messy, and in the corners were pieces of paper and broken toys, for these were reckless kids. Yet, presently, one brought a cultivator, one more a rake, and a third rushed to get the wheeled cart from behind the nursery entryway. They toiled hard, till finally totally was perfect and clean.
"Presently it is spotless!" they said; "however we should make it pretty, as well, for rulers are utilized to fine things; perhaps he wouldn't see simple cleanness, for he might have it constantly."
Then, at that point, one welcomed sweet surges and flung them on the ground; and others made wreaths of oak leaves and pine tufts and draped them on the walls; and the smallest one pulled marigold buds and tossed them about the jungle gym, "to seem to be gold," he said.
At the point when everything was done the jungle gym was lovely to such an extent that the kids stood and took a gander at it, and applauded with joy.
"Allow us to keep it generally like this!" said the humblest one; and the others cried, "Yes! indeed! that is how we will respond."
They stood by the entire day for the approaching of the Ruler, yet he never came; just, towards nightfall, a man with movement worn garments, and a sort, tired face passed along the street, and halted to investigate the wall.
"What a charming spot!" said the man. "May I come in and rest, dear youngsters?"
The kids readily got him and set him on the seat they had made from an old barrel. They took care of it with the old red shroud to make it seem a privileged position, making it an excellent one.
"It is our jungle gym!" they said. "We made it pretty for the Lord, however, he didn't come, and presently we mean to keep it so for ourselves."
"That is great!" said the man.
"Since we think pretty and clean is more pleasant than revolting and filthy!" said another.
"That is better!" said the man.
"What's more, for tired individuals to rest in!" said the smallest one.
"That is best of all!" said the man.
He sat and rested, and took a gander at the youngsters with such kind eyes that they came about him, and let him know all they knew; about the five pups in the horse shelter, and the thrush's home with four blue eggs, and the shore where the gold shells developed; and the man gestured and saw about it.
Eventually, he requested some water, and they got him the best cup, with the gold twigs on it: then he[14] said thanks to the youngsters, and rose and went on his way; however before he went he laid his hand on their heads briefly, and the touch went warm to their souls.
The kids remained by the wall and watched the man as he went gradually along. The sun was setting, and the light fell in lengthy inclining beams across the street.
"He looks so drained!" expressed one of the youngsters.
"Be that as it may, he was so kind!" said another.
"See!" said the humblest one. "How the sun radiates on his hair! it seems to be a crown of gold."
