Soulmates don't stay forever...

A heart-touching story

By AMiNE MaPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

It was a beautiful summer day when Sarah's sister, Emily, disappeared. The two sisters had been playing in their backyard, chasing each other through the grass and giggling hysterically, when Emily suddenly vanished.

At first, Sarah assumed that Emily was playing a game of hide-and-seek, so she searched the yard for her sister. But there was no sign of her. Sarah began to get nervous and called out Emily's name, hoping to hear her sister's voice in response. But there was only silence.

Sarah ran into the house and told her parents what had happened, and they immediately sprang into action. They called the police and began searching the surrounding area for Emily.

As the hours passed by without any sign of Emily, Sarah's anxiety grew. She couldn't bear the thought of her sister being lost or hurt. She prayed to God to keep Emily safe and vowed that she would do anything it took to find her.

Days passed, and there was still no trace of Emily. The police continued their search, but the leads were few and far between. Sarah's parents were beside themselves with worry, and Sarah felt like her heart was breaking.

She missed her sister's laugh, her smile, and the way she would always ask silly questions. She missed the sound of her footsteps and the way she would twirl around whenever they danced together.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, the search for Emily seemed to grow colder. The police had no leads, and Sarah's parents had become exhausted and heartbroken.

Sarah, however, refused to give up. She spent every moment she could searching for her sister, pouring over maps and canvassing the neighborhood. She knew that Emily was out there somewhere, and that she had to bring her home.

It was on the one-year anniversary of Emily's disappearance that Sarah found her. She had been searching an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town when she heard a faint sound, almost like a whimper.

At first, Sarah thought she was imagining things, but then she heard it again. She followed the sound to a dark and dusty corner of the warehouse, where she found Emily huddled in a corner, trembling and crying.

Sarah's heart skipped a beat as she rushed over to her sister. She was thin and weak, with bruises and scars all over her body. But she was alive, and that was all that mattered.

Sarah held Emily close, crying tears of relief and joy as she thanked God for bringing her sister back to her. She knew that the road to recovery would be long and difficult, but she also knew that she would never let her sister out of her sight again.

Emily's story of what had happened to her was heartbreaking. She had been kidnapped by a stranger who had kept her hidden away in the warehouse, far from anyone who could help her. She had been beaten, starved, and left alone for months on end.

But through it all, Emily had never given up hope. She had thought of her sister every day, knowing that Sarah would never forget about her.

The two sisters held each other tightly, both of them grateful for the other's unwavering love and support. They knew that they had been through a terrible ordeal, but they also knew that they were strong enough to overcome it.

In the years that followed, Sarah and Emily continued to support each other through thick and thin. They laughed together and cried together, and they never took a single moment for granted.

The experience had left its mark on both of them, but it had also made them stronger and more resilient. They knew that life was precious, and that the love of family was the most important thing of all. And they knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what life might bring.

Sadly, this was a scenario that Sarah made to try to think positively about the accident, but later on, Emily died peacefully in the hospital after a long battle with her pain
