Something Funny I think Moms will understand

I come from a family of a brother,sister, & of course mom & dad I'm the oldest. Here's a funny story that I'm sure will make a lot of people laugh. Ok so here's a day without my dad summer time because he's out of town on business. It's 2 Pm & my mom was really tired she said,"Tara would you please watch after your brother & sister while I take a 10 minute nap." I said, "Okay" my brother Jason who was 3 at the time was near the fireplace playing with his toy cars. We were all in the family room,mom was on the couch & I said,"Where's Tricia?" Mom said,"She's upstairs." So I went upstairs to get her to bring her down stairs so I could watch both of them while my mom rested on the couch. By the time I got back down stairs with my sister who was 2 at the time by the way I'm 13. My brother was playing with his cars however he had gotten into the fireplace that hadn't been cleaned yet & soot was all over the carpet & the bricks of the fireplace. I said,"Oh no MOM" She said,"What?" then opened her eyes & saw the mess. She said,"I thought I told you to watch your brother & sister?" I was like um okay duh I was thinking would never dare say that out loud but was thinking it. I said,"Mom I went upstairs to get Tricia,because you told me to watch both of them." She said,"Ok I'm done with my 5 minute nap"So she got up off the couch to clean up the mess he had made.

Now the phone rings I go to answer it & it was my friends mom she wanted to talk to my mom. I handed mom the phone & she then asked me,"would you like to go play soccer with Amy?" I said, "yeah sure why not." So my mom told my friends mom that we'd be over shortly explaining dad was out of town & that she wanted a 15-20 minute rest but only got 5 minutes in because of what my baby brother had done. When she got off the phone she told me to take my sister & get ready to go play soccer.So that's what I did. When we got back down stairs the fireplace was all cleaned up. I said,"We're ready to go." She said,"Okay let me grab the keys." As she did this & we headed to the garage guess what..... There was my brother who NOW had gotten into the gasoline can & poured it all over the garage. Mom smelled the horrible smell & was like OMG I told your dad to put that up.

So back inside the house we went she ended up calling the fire dept. They told her to get us out of the house immediately & they'd be there shortly. We all ended up outside however she put the garage door down & guess what... the Keys are inside the house.Yep the keys inside the house. She was like OMG great.She went next door called my friend's mom explaining what had just happened she said she'd come & get me & that afterwards she could bring me home or mom could come & pick me up. After mom got off the phone with her she had to call the locksmith. The fire dept.came we were waiting on the lock smith then my friend's mom came. So I got into the car & went with her to the soccer game.

My allergies were kind of acting up but I did have a lot of fun. It was my 1st time of playing soccer & I did like it except for the allergy part. My mom ended up coming to get me. My mom talked to my friends mom & was explaining what a crazy hectic day she was having & that all she wanted was 15 minutes to take a nap & that she was really exhausted & that she couldn't wait for our dad to get home.So we left & got home. The firemen suggested placing fans in the garage to air out the smell & dry the floor because they had to hose out the mess. Mom did the right thing in calling because if she would have started the car it could have caused a fire.

So they all went inside I was outside then dad pulled up into the driveway.Boy was I glad to see him. He got out of the car & said,"What's all this the fans?" I said,Mom will explain."So he went inside, I followed behind him. Now dad went upstairs to talk with mom. Jason was on the couch with my sister watching tv. She was laying there so innocently sucking on her bottle. I decided to fill up some water balloons. I had about 5 or 6 filled, had one in my hand went over to my sister & bonked her in the head with the water balloon. The 1st time nothing the 2nd time well it burst all over her. She was sucking on her bottle stopped & paused a few seconds trying to figure out what in the world just happened where did this water come from? I started to laugh,so did Jason. Well she didn't think it was so funny she got off the couch & went screaming & crying upstairs. I was like oh no Jason come on we have to get rid of these water balloons. I knew that mom was so tired & after everything that had just happened she was NOT going to be in a laughing mood. Boy was I right!!!

As I came back inside the house after us getting rid of the evidence. Mom said in an angry voice,"Tara how did your sister get all wet?" I said,"Mom I was just having some fun it was a water balloon that popped on her head it was an accident I didn't know it was going to burst. She said,"Tara look the kind of day I've been having I'm going to go make dinner, you set the table then go over there watch tv until dinner time. After dinner all 3 of you are going to bed because I am exhausted." BOY she used that word a lot today.I said,"Okay sorry so I started to set the table,grabbed my brother & sister & went to watch tv with them,while she made dinner.

Now dinner time we're all sitting there & we aren't saying 1 word.We knew we had just about did it for a whole year's worth of trouble. Mom said,"Jerry, I just don't know what in the world has gotten into these kids today,the day has been crazy hectic. Thank God you are home." After dinner we headed to bed,because we knew she had enough of us. While they went to bed.

Out of this whole experience I would have to say the funniest part of that day was the water balloon bursting on my sister's head & how she just sat there trying to figure out what in the world was that & where did it come from. If only I had a camera because that would have made it on "America's Funniest Videos"
