Can't we all get along?

Once upon a time there was a place called Lima Bean,a town so small, a town so mean.

Everywhere you looked only mean could be seen, mean grass, mean air, mean people scattered from here to there.

Even the kids in town walked around with their noses held high.

They muttered and uttered mean things like “stop looking at me or I’ll spit in your eye.”

Amongst all the meanness there was one genuine girl with a gigantic heart. Oh, if only her last name hadn’t been Fart.

There was Dad and Mom and Sally and Tom.  They all got along, never a day was blue. Until the day Sally went to school.

That first day Sally tried to play but all the kids said “No way!”  They wouldn’t have it, not one little bit. They would not think twice!

They would not talk, or walk, or fight with a Fart!

The kids were so judgemental, that they couldn’t get past that name on the mantle.  They were all kids just the same, but Bean town’s meanness could not, would not, had not been tamed.

At the start of class she was well behaved.  At recess she smiled and waved. At art she shared her pencils and she shared her stencils.  At lunch she even shared her utensils.

Nothing worked, meanness still lurked. She had went the extra mile and nothing not even a smile. Nothing she had to say made the kids want to play.  She did not make one friend that day.

Sally came home broken it seemed. School was nothing that she dreamed.  With tears in her eyes, she let out a cry “I hate being a Fart! Daddy they broke my heart.  School ain’t cool. It’s a jungle all too cruel!”

Mr. Fart sat out that night to turn things around, to make things right.  He couldn’t let his little girl  down, he had to take care of her frown.  “We love in our family, yes we do!”  Mr. Fart stated as his ideas started to strew.  “It has to work, it has to be great.  It must get rid of this town's mean mean hate!”

When Sally woke up the next morning.  There was a sight to be seen.  Mr. Fart had turned the car into a noisy whoopie cushion machine.  No more gas, no more combustion, only a little air and a whole lot of lovin. It could get them from here to there it could get them anywhere.

Sally was embarrassed, Mr. Fart might have gone too far.  She couldn’t be seen in a whoopie cushion car.  She ate her breakfast and brushed her hair. Then Sally grumbled “Oh well, they all hate me, what do I care!”

They hadn’t made it very far before the noises started.  As the car got louder it sounded like it farted. They continued on sounding sillier than ever.  It even jumped when Mr. Fart pulled on the lever.

Sally and Dad were all giggles and smiles as they puttered down the miles.  They past the people who once were so mean.  Smiles were beginning to be seen.  Sally heard laughing and singing, even the steeple bells ringing.

As they pulled into the school Sally had forgotten yesterday “Now open that door and have a fabulous great day.” Mr. Fart had to say to his loving daughter.  “Always remember that when you’re down and mean and no positive can be seen.  To bring a little joy back into your HEART all you need is a little noise and a big imagination.  Let the Fart be heard around the nation.
