(Matthew Becerra's Art Work) Displayed At His Funeral)

Eighteen year old Matthew Becerra was the second oldest out of 6 siblings. Born in Fort Worth ,Tx He was a Graduate of Saginaw High School . (2021). He came off as being shy and to himself, as for those that got to know him say that "he was really out going and really really sweet." His smile and those deep dimples caught everybody's attention, beautiful smile!

"No matter what plans I had for us, if plans meant staying home, painting , baking , or just watching a movie....he was up for it! I Loved that about him!'' (Matthew's Mother Replied)

Take it back to that smile........the one that hid a lot of the problems and situations Matthew had to deal with. Who would have thought?! His battle was bigger than we knew YET, he was VERY STRONG. You never heard him complain.

Matthew daily had to deal with the thought of having Seizures , Blackouts , Medications , Driving , Swimming, Pain , etc. Worry was something Matthew just brushed off. At 18 no-one wants to be told what to do or treated like a young child. At that point you just had to leave it in GODS HANDS.

(2015 Matthew Becerra in Hospital Recovering)

Only here recently at the end of the school year Matthew was having seizures more then before. Unsure what was going, not knowing if this was happening from his Medical Problem where he stayed in the Hospital back in 2015 when he caught a type of MENIGITIS that causes brain to bleed and swell. This is rare, and also end up fatal if not treated on time. Its serious! It ends up in the part of the brain that controls memory, speech, hearing. Can cause severe brain damage. Effects from this Virus is having to learn stuff all over, speech problems, go deaf. In this case Matthew was left with having to learn stuff all over. Such a big problem that he had to take Special Education classes .

(2019 Matthew was taken to local Hospital after having a seizure at work)

From 2015 -2019 Matthew had only had one seizure. July 2019, he had one at work. He was injured and taken to local hospital. There's where the E.R Physician took blood test, MRI, etc. The results where that it was clear, nothing that had to do with what happened in 2015. She said it was the heat at work that was the cause and just to drink a lot of water.

December came and he had one. The last few months of school it was 2 a month to what seemed 2 or 3 every two weeks. Was there something the Physician over looked. Sad! Matthew passed away on July 4th 2021 at a relatives home. (More on that soon)-

A virus that causes cold sores but when it goes to your brain can cause your life to change forever or end up with no life at all!

These obstacles thrown in his way, I couldn't imagine myself going through he overcame despite the seizures happening more often. Having to learn everything all over again........yes so serious he didn't know what a banana was or what his sisters names where. His senior year he was back in regular classes and was so happy, he graduated and had planes to take a year break before starting his journey on ADULT LIFE. He was planning to be a realtor. Amazing young man!

(Matthew Becerra and Mother Ana Duran)

What was more amazing came after he passed. The finding of his art work. This young man had Talent, a lot of people close to him did not know he was so good at drawing and painting . They displayed some of his art at his funeral. In life It seems that the ones that are always smiling are fighting the hardest battles. He was robbed of life gone so soon, family robbed of his love, and at the end where left with some amazing art work to cherish his memory.
