I Was Already So Distraught, I Missed My Boy Dearly, Giving Him His Nightly Scratch

He Wouldn’t Let Me See Him Anymore, Selfishly

My Ex Was A Narcissist, But To Stop Us Seeing Patch, It Came Unexpectedly

The Children, Myself, Were Beside Ourselves In Grief

Losing Their Father, Another Blow, Losing Our Puppy Too

Such Cruelty, We Were Left In Disbelief

I Saved All My Pennies $3400 Indebted Us, It Took A While To Land Back On Our Feet

But Losing Their Father, Our Loved Patchy Boy, Had Us All Feeling Quiet Defeat

So I Contacted The Breeders Of Whom We Bought Patch, Told Them We Need A New Puppy

A New Batch Of Pups Had Just Been Birthed, Last Two Pups, We Secured A Girl, We Were Lucky

I Knew She Was Ours, Her Big Eyes, A Love Heart White Patch On Her Hind

We Knew Just What To Call Her, Destiny, Knowing She Was Born Just For Us, No Doubt In Our Mind

When I Finally Paid Her Off We Bought Her To Her New Home

To Live With Us

We Had So Much Love To Give, Destiny Filled Our Broken Hearts With Love, Over Her, We Made Such A Fuss

She Wasn’t As Well Behaved As Our Boy Patch, She Got Into All Kinds Of Mischief

But Her Unconditional Love Got Us, Mostly Me, Through Long Nights That Were Tough

She Was My Therapy Dog, She Filled My Broken Heart With An Immense Love

She’d Sleep Right Beside Me, The Kids, Snuggling, Our Gift From Above

Just Like My Children, Her Body Had To Be Touching Mine

Though She Was Naughty, Hogged All The Bed, Those Puppy Eyes Melted Me

Best Thing About Pets, Is Their Never Too Busy To Give You Their Time

They Also Don’t Back Chat Like Our Children Do

All The Chewed Up Kids Toys, The Destruction She Caused I’d Oversee

For Our Pets Are Like Our Children Too, Their Unconditional Love Is Always For You

Our Hearts Healed As Time Passed Us By, My Ex Allowed Me To See My Boy Again

Though Not Having Him With Me Every Day Isn’t Quiet The Same

Destiny Loves Patch, They Play Along Very Well, She Has More Energy Than My Boy

Keeps Him Young At Heart, Though He’s Aged He Plays All Day Long, Tries To Even Mate

Destiny Still Likes To Chew Up Many Things, Especially All The Kids Toy

She’s Quiet Active You Have To Be Quick Coming In Or She’s Escaping Through The Gate

She’s Cost Me A Bit Of Money In Collection Fees At The Local Pound

One Things For Sure, I Am Glad In Destiny Love Was Re Found

Our Pets Are Like Our Children, Our Loves, Our Companions, Our Best Friend

Life Is Short, Dogs Age Seven Years Per Our One, We Know Their Lives Before Ours, Will Sadly End

So We Cherish The Time We Have, No Matter The Mischief They Get Into

There’s No Other Pet Who Could Love Us More Than They Do

Nor Is There Any Other Dog We Could Possibly Love More Than These Two
