Ever get that feeling when you go camping or hiking or even sit in a park, you feel at peace? Your mind starts to let go of all that is stressing you and you listen to nature. You let the wind blow your hair and thoughts of which direction is it coming from, what lands has it already touched. You hear the birds chirp, the crickets and frogs sing their song and other animals walk around you. You can't help but let you mind go adrift.
My son and I love being within nature. Letting go of the stress of the world and just listening to what the world already has to offer. It is said that going camping for 1 week in nature helps relax and balance out your natural time clock among relaxing the mind and giving it a much needed vacation. We like to really let ourselves wonder. He is still at the age of strong believing, so what better place to be when believing in the fae(folklore). We would try our best to keep a keen eye for something amazing to happen. Because to be one with nature and yourself, that is when you let you filter of being an "adult" or being too "rational" is gone. You take in the child-like wonder when chasing fairies in the woods. While listening to Mother Nature's song. It gives you more of a vibe to dance in the sunlight. While your mind travels to things that seem impossible, it also provides ideas and thoughts of what could be just because you let your mind wonder and take that much needed break.
Needed break. What comes to your mind when you hear those words? Most do think of being at the lake or on a beach. Being surrounded by peace and calming energy. Taking is what their soul needs to feel relaxed, or what feels like that much needed break. Taking that break also provides reflecting on yourself or to think more clearly about a situation without the stress of multi-tasking or worrying about getting tasks done. Nature. Nature provides a worry-free environment, giving the flow of life without any prompt of having to force it. It just happens.
My son and I soak in nature, being surronded by it. It feels like home. It helps relax those once stressed feelings and takes them away in the blowing breeze. The sunshine not only feels good on our skin, but bring light into our hearts making us smile. Enjoying time together. Making core memories, that will one day be passed down onto my grandchildren and so forth.
In short, walk in nature. Take in the sunlight. The music of the birds, crickets and frogs. Let the wind blow through your hair. Let your mind wonder. Let the stressed feeling disappear. Get your much needed break. Return to the child-like wonder and expand your thoughts of "I wonder if..." and have them turn into "I can do that...". Mother Nature is powerful, not just for the planet, but for all of us who walk it. Taking in the surrounding energy and letting flow through you and using it. That is what it's like to be one with nature. To feel like home is literally anywhere where you can be at peace and happy. Letting go of stress, of worry and pain. Even just sitting outside your house in the city, in the yard listening to the sounds of life can be helpful.
So, go outside. Close your eyes. Open your ears. And listen. Feel. Let the wind drift away your worries. Go and enjoy nature. Enjoy life!
