Mountain Creek (action park)top5 best rides
my personal top 5 rides from mountain creek

Mountain Creek , also know as the infamous, dangerous, Action Park. Action Park was known for its lawsuits and dangerous rides in the late 80's and 90's. Even though it was really dangerous, people still thought that was the fun part of it until... There were thousands of injuries and 6 deaths. The park closed and became Mountain Creek. Mountain Creek is a real upgrade in safety considering that 6 people died on the land that they built their water park. Mountain Creek has many rides including a mountain coaster but we're only talking about the water park's top 5 best rides.
My 1st would be the Zero G. Zero G is on a giant tower at least 100 FT high overlooking the whole park. When you get up to the slide you get inside a capsule that closes with water running down your back. Then the speakers inside the capsul count down 3, 2, 1, launch! The floor under you drops but your heart rate does the opposite! You drop directly down into the slide going quite fast, water spraying into your face until you slow down, when you're going through the 3 loops. When you get to the end you will be greeted with a small pool of water.
My 2nd pick would be the Canyon Cliff Jump. The Canyon Cliff Jump is about 20 ft high with cold refreshing water at the bottom waiting for you. When you jump, many people are watching and encouraging you to jump so chickening out is hard. When it's your turn, there is a little metal step ladder that has two steps on the cliff edge. When you jump you can feel the adrenaline coursing through your veins and the air trying to stop you. The jump gets you at least 1.5 seconds of air time.
Moving onto the 3rd ride The Gauley. For this ride, you get onto a single tube and sit in a pool that runs down into a mountain river-like slide, with twists, turns and a whole lot of speed. Don't be surprised if you get stuck because usually the water pools up into a whirl pool. When you get towards the end there is a dark tunnel with a drop out of a waterfall at the end.
Moving foward, my 4th pick is the Colorado River. On this ride you sit in a raft that can fit up to 3 people. Just like The Gauley, you're in a pool of water that runs into a simulation of a Colorado mountain river. This ride has a whole lot of speed, and once agian just like The Gauley it has a dark tunnel towards the end. The only reason this is not first on my list is the crazy long lines.
Onto the last one, Surf Hill. On this ride, you grab a mat with handles on the front and you walk up a hill on a concrete path, which is very tiring. That is the main reason why this is last on the list. When you get up to the top there are 8 lanes that you race oppponents down the bumpy hill. The lifeguard at the top gives a countdown and you're off. You go insanely fast. It gives you the feeling that you're surfing hence the reason why its called Surf Hill. At the bottom you are stopped by a pool of disgustingly warm water.
Overall the expierence of being at the water park is a 4 out of 5, the reason it is not a five is the amount of walking you have to do to get to each and every ride. Also the price of food and drinks is way too high.
