Monster brought family together

Coronavirus and us

Monster brought family together

Me and my three kids are used to being out and about all day....I take them for groceries...normal shopping, parks, Starbucks, extra curriculum activities...ice cream dates and even lunch at fancy restaurants!! Hubby works 2+ hours away (including traffic time)...he is only able to hang out with us as a family on weekends. However, If there are get together on weekends- we don’t get to hang out as a family so much....

This last few months come as a blessing to my family...we get to see abba (daddy) at breakfast, lunch and dinner! He loves cooking so he is enjoying new recipes with us...girls are his judges and Zayd says yum yum to the plain boiled rice as well 😬. He is actually able to enjoy time with kids, he is finally able to tell them stories and share laughter.

The evil monster “Coronavirus” did something good for my family....he gave us a chance to enjoy little moments once again! We were long overdue with celebrating a delicious home made dinner....or a new type of milk shake...I hardly got a chance to tell hubby my childhood stories (my favorite thing to do before we had kids), since after we moved from Canada! Life became a hustle and we were just running...it seems like we got a much needed break.

Coronavirus put a stop to the crazy lifestyle we all were living...I was in the car more than I was at home...pick ups, drop offs, groceries, play dates, Girl Scouts activities, we are staying more clean we ever used to be...so much handwashing....Zyva thinks her hands will disappear one day 🤦🏽‍♀️ and Zoha says why not use hand cream to keep your hands safe 😊!!

We are actually looking at our resources with a different mindset now...we are appreciating toilet paper, and bidet...we are reusing home made cleaning supplies, we are making our own hand sanitizer....we are being so thankful for being so blessed....it is not easy to feed that to kids so little...this critical time helped me teach them appreciation ❤️

I actually have time to sit and listen to their stories, I am not worried about being late about anything and I am able to let them enjoy their warm baths longer now...I am able to de clutter some toys, change the look of my bedroom...I am able to enjoy frozen 2 the 10th time this week...

The cuddles, the family time, the prayers, the board games, the activities...finally I am able to put all those plans in place that we couldn’t do...we never had time for anything! And now we do...let’s pray that we all stay safe during this time so we come out of it stronger than we actually are, healthier than we ever were and happier than we can ever be!!

Even the grass looks greener these days and the blue sky has never been this blue, the clouds are just gorgeous. I am enjoying the scenic drives and the no traffic. Let’s hope things get back to normal soon- the normal should be “happy and healthy” and not “hasty and hectic” Amen.

Do share your positive stories....we are all in this together!! Staying home staying safe...Our Creator is much more Powerful than this monster!! ❤️
