Lyoko Warriors of Love(Code Lyoko Fanfic) in Coming Out
This is part of a series of self-contained stories where all of the Lyoko Warriors, minus William, are in a polyamorous relationship with each other, and Odd is nonbinary. In this installment, they will all be coming out to their families.

"Since I figured out who I am, I've been thinking of telling my parents," Odd told them nonchalantly as everyone sat down for lunch, "I just don't know how they'll take it," they shoved a spoon full of mashed potatoes into their mouth. "I don't know whether I want them to accept me or not. Even though I'd want there to be something between us, but I want to be able to be me," the rest of the group had heard of their partner's overly accepting and supportive parents. "They know about our relationship I knew there would be no problem with that." Odd's parents had close friends who were in a similar relationship. That's how they knew that they could all be together.
"I never thought about what my parents would think of all, well... this," Ulrich shrugged, then looked down. "My dad probably won't like it, you know how strict he is," he sighed. Everyone there knew of the strained relationship between the two of them, he was never good enough for his dad.
"I have no idea what my parents will think," Jeremie began, "their always very supportive of everything I choose to do, but I think that this is a bit different," he mused.
"Guys! I have a great idea!" Odd grinned.
"That would be a first," Ulrich smirked.
After a moment's display of fake hurt, they continued. "What if we all tell our families about us on the same day and if it's a problem we can just return to the past and they'd never know!"
"Hm, that's actually a well thought out Idea," Jeremie praised. "We can do this tonight if that's fine with everyone, this is something that I'd rather get over with," he admitted nervously.
"Can't it wait until, lets say Thursday?" the other bond asked.
"What's so special about Thursday?" Yumi asked.
"We have a big test in biology then and I like to be optimistic but someone's probably going to need a return to the past and I want to know what's on the test before I take it," they shrugged.
"Oh Odd, You know that's cheating," Aelita responded gently.
"I like to think of it as... selective studding!" they justified.
"And if every one is supportive?" Ulrich crooked his eyebrow.
"Oh, Ulrich, my dear, I will accept a million failed tests if it meant that our love can be seen by all!"

After classes on Thursday

They came to the consensus that they were to be alone when they came out. Jeremie was in his room, Ulrich was alone in his and Odd's room. Odd was with Kiwi, out towards the edge of campus, where he would be away from people, and Yumi was at her house. The reason the brunet got the room instead of Odd, is if something went wrong with Ulrich's call he would just stay outside grabbing clumps of grass for hours brooding.

After taking a deep breath he dialed his home number.
"Hello?" his mother answered the phone.
"Um uh, hi mom, there's something that I want to talk to you and dad about,"
"I'll get him, but is something wrong?" she asked
"No, or at least I hope not"
"You're on speaker,"
"Mom, dad, I'm bisexual,"
"So, does Aelita have competition?" his dad joked, shocking the boy with how well they took that, and how they knew that he liked Aelita, the person who he fell for first. Now for the hard part.
"Uh well... no, I'm what's called polyamorous, meaning I can be in relations with multiple people at the same time. Aelita is polyamorous as well, so is the rest of my friend group. We're all dating each other." he froze as he waited for a response, but there was silence.
"So all five of you are dating each other?" his dad asked for clarification.
"Er, yes," he responded.
"And everyone knows and is fine with it?"
"Yes."
"And you're happy?" that threw the kid off guard.
"Um, yes, I am happy with this arrangement, we all are."
"If that's the case we support you."
"R-Really!" he exclaimed.
"As long as your happy, you're not hurting anyone or breaking any laws, we support you one hundred percent," his dad assured.
"I actually find this good news!" he could hear his mom smile through the phone.
'What do you mean?"
"Well, your not the best with others, and we were worried that you would never find a partner let alone a group of them!" she explained. "I'm just glad that your happy and with people who care about you."

Yumi

Yumi looked up from her almost finished dinner, it's now or never, she told herself. "Mom, dad what I'm going to say sounds like a lot and will be a shock but please have an open mind," she took a breath and tried to keep her voice level, "I'm bisexual," she stared at her parents and they just stared back in a tense silence.
"Ok I don't get it, but if that's who you are, please try to pick a boy," her dad told her.
"I'm not choosing one or the other, I'm polyamus and am dating my whole friend group, a girl, boys and a- and were all dating each other," she explained, deciding not to bring Odd's gender into this.
"Yumi this really is not something I understand, how can you raise a family with five parents? You're going to have to pick one person to be your true partner and just have the others on the side*. Please pick one of the boys," her dad explained his take on the matter.
"But I love them all! I can't just pick one of them! And seriously we're only in middle school we're not thinking about a family!" she rebutted, frustrated.
"I guess this is fine for now," he emphasized the word now, as a smile crossed the teen's lips. Her parents are ok with this. This will make things a lot easier.

Ulrich
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ulrich steeled himself as he dialed his home phone.
"Hello," he was greeted with his father's stern voice.
"Uh, hi dad."
"Ah, Ulrich how are your grades? There better have been some improvements in your test scores."
"Never mind that I have something to tell you," Ulrich took a deep breath, "I'm bisexual and I'm dating multiple people, but they all know about it and are dating eachother too."
"No you are not," he responded curtly, "dating so many people must be the reason your grades are terrible, I'm pulling you out of Kadic, to set you straight because you are going to find a wife and give me grandchildren that will be less of a failure than -" Ulrich hung up the phone. He had enough of him, and since they were going to return to the past he wouldn't have to worry about any consequences of hanging up on his dad. He turned off his phone to prevent any further discussion.
The samurai warrior went upstairs to Aelita's room, she didn't have parents to come out to so he wouldn't be interrupting that.
He knocked on her door, "who is it?" she asked.
"It's me," Ulrich answered. Aelita immediately greeted him at the door and draped an arm around him as she pulled him into the room. He may be good at masking his emotions but she could tell that his call didn't go so well. A conversation with his dad never ended well.
"Do you want to talk or do you just want to be held?" her voice was soft and caring.
"Held," his nervous grumbled response was barely more than a whisper, as he sat down on the bed. Aelita was quick to wrap herself around him, letting him sink into her embrace, without saying a word.
Odd
Odd leaned against a tree and called their family. "Hi mom," they greeted excitedly.
"Hello Odd, you know I love you but can you call back later were still eating dinner," their mom responded.
"We'll I actually have some news I want to tell everyone," their voice remained cheerful.
"Ok, I'll put you on speaker," their mom said as she brought the phone to the table and put it on speaker.
"So what's this news little bro?" Adel, one of their older sisters asked.
"Well that's the thing, I'm not really a boy, I know my body but I never felt like a boy, but I don't feel like I'm a girl either," they explained, starting to get nervous, since they were not able to see their expressions, they had no idea what they were thinking.
"Ha ha Odd, you've always been a jokester, but where did you even come up with this one?" commented Marie, another sister snickered.
"I'm being serious here!" Odd's voice grew sober, gaining them the undivided attention of their whole family. "I'm what's called non-binary and I use they them theirs as pronouns instead of he him his," the enby's heart beating loudly in their ears as they waited for a response, any response.
"You always were an individual, but you always knew what you wanted. Is this what you want?" their mom asked.
"Yes, this is who I am," they forced some bravado into their voice.
"We'll do this for you if this is what- no who you are, kid," their mom stated.
"You're mom's right, we're with you completely, right girls?" their dad prompted. While Odd was both glad and annoyed that their parents were so quick to jump on board. Two out of five of their sisters were also accepting or at least were willing to appease their youngest sibling. The supporting family assured them that they would do their best to talk it over with the other three girls and get them on board as quickly as possible.
They hung up and sat there and waited to make sure that Ulrich had enough time to finish his call.
Soon Odd got bored and called Ulrich's cell, it went straight to voicemail. Concerned they went to their room to look for him. They came back to an empty room, his phone was on the floor. After checking the bathroom, Odd knocked on Jeremie's door. "Who is it?"
"It's Odd," they called out without their usual fan fair, this concerned the boy who ushered them in. "Have you seen Ulrich? He's not in our room and his phone was off!" they explained, concern in their voice.
"Why don't we see if he went to visit Aelita," Odd nodded as they walked upstairs to the girls' floor and her room.
Jeremie knocked on her door, "Aelita its me and Odd."
"Come in," she called in a not so cheerful manor.
The two entered the room to see Ulrich trying not to cry into the girl's shoulder.
"I take it that things did not go well," Jeremie observed.
"My dad's going to pull me out of Kadic," Ulrich explained, though everyone knew that wasn't the real reason he was upset.
"I guess I'll need to run a return to the past. I have my parents' full support, they just want me to be happy," the blond boy reported.
"My parents are totally cool with me being nonbinary," Odd shrugged as they wrapped themselves around Ulrich.
"I'll tell Yumi and launch a return to the past tomorrow morning," Jeremie informed them, joining his dorming partners.
