Little Things, Greater Impact.

You may have always heard that Little things matter, and let me assure you that IT DOES, Little things do matter! Why am I saying this? Cause I have lived such moments in my life and I'm about to share all those personal experiences with y'all that made me a firm believer of Little things matter.

I belong to a desi family where expression of love doesn't exist. We do not exchange words of affirmation with each other, we don't say I love you, I'm proud of you, You're special, You matter or any phrases like these. For such reasons, we have adapted our emotions and now we pay attention to little things, those little efforts that your loved ones put to make you feel loved. My life has been filled with such moments ALHAHUMDULILL.

Starting with My father, he's a man of temper! Sometimes he'll do or say certain things that will break your heart, as a wife/son/daughter listening to those words or receiving these actions from your husband/father is painful. But do you know how we got through all these years because we were able to see the hidden love behind that temper! You'll know your father loves you when he washes your shoes, you'll know your father loves you when he brings your favorite snacks because you mentioned to him once that you like these, you'll know your father loves you when he keeps pushing you to go and talk to people to make you more confident, you'll know your father loves you when he keeps finding sources to help path your way up to be successful! You'll know when your father loves you when he gets angry at you and at the moment he'll ask you "If you wanna have or coffee or not?"

Then My MUM, who doesn't know a thing about how to express yourself and who keeps things buried inside. So how will you know that your mum loves you? You'll know it when she keeps the food ready on the table even if she's upset with you, you'll know when she wakes you up every morning each day even if said that she won't do it the next morning, you'll know when she stays awake with you during those exams night and keep bringing food to your room while you study, you'll know it when every time you leave the house she reminds you everything to take with you and blows a protective prayer on you so you'll be protected, you'll know when at night you are having nightmares and you search for her hand and with no question asked she just tucked you inside and hugs you tighter make you feel safe!

Siblings, your first ever 'Frenemies'. You fight with them, you laugh with them, you borrow stuff from each other, and when then they don't let you borrow you steal stuff from them, you eat their leftovers, you mess with their assignments and project and dresses to take revenge over silly stupid fights and it's proof that they didn't kill you and you're still alive. You'll know your sisters loves you when they nursery you like mom when you get sick, you'll know that your siblings love you when after every fight they don't change the hiding place for their food when they still keep their cupboards unlocked even after they shouted at you for using their stuff, you'll know you brother loves you when he keeps hitting you each time he passes you by for no reason, you'll know your brother loves you when he does that one thing you asked him to do in the fourth time because he kept forgetting about it, You'll know when your siblings love you when they'll start randomly talking without saying sorry after an ugly fight!

Special mentions 'NEICE AND NEPHEWS'! You know you feel extra special when you are adored by your little munchkins? It's when they keep coming to our room and disturbing you while you work on important stuff because they miss you and want to spend time with you. When the first person they go to right after waking up is YOU? And after so many attempts when they finally manage to wake you up they just hug you and cuddle with you? It's when you doing something fun with them and they randomly tell you that 'Khala(aunt) I love spending time with you!' and you after listening to those words just get stuck in the moment and look at them with watery eyes thinking How precious that moment is! So you'll know that your niece/nephew loves you when they run to you to seek protection when they are scared, or when they come to you when they get stuck doing something, You'll know they love you when they'll come and showers you with kisses and hugs randomly!

These are all the little things that make you feel loved, adored, and cherished by your loved ones! Do not let these things go unnoticed because these are the things that make your life beautiful! These are things that make your life worth living! These are the things that keep you going whenever you get stuck!
