Kiko's Quest For Joy: The Tale of The Golden Acorn

Kiko's Wish For Joy

By Sabda DadiPublished 2 years ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, a mischievous little mouse deer named Kiko lived in a lush and vibrant forest. Kiko was known for his playful nature and knack for getting into all sorts of trouble. Despite his small size, Kiko had a big personality and an even bigger sense of adventure.

One sunny morning, Kiko woke up feeling particularly naughty. He decided it would be great to prank his friends, the wise old owl and the cunning fox. Kiko had seen a shiny red apple hanging from a tree and knew it would be the perfect prop for his prank.

Kiko scampered over to the owl's tree with the apple in tow. He said, "Hey, Mr. Owl! Look what I found! This apple is so delicious, you have to try it!" With his wise old eyes, the owl looked at Kiko and said, "Kiko, my dear friend, I appreciate the offer, but I have just had my breakfast. Thank you, though."

Undeterred, Kiko then made his way to the fox's den. He peeked inside and said, "Hey, Mr. Fox! I found the juiciest, most amazing apple! You have to taste it!" The fox, trying to contain his laughter, replied, "Oh, Kiko, you are always up to something. I appreciate the offer, but I am not hungry right now. Maybe later."

Disappointed that his prank didn't work, Kiko began wandering through the forest, feeling sad. Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes. He outpopped a wise old tortoise named Tito. "Hey there, Kiko," Tito said with a chuckle. "What mischief are you up to today?"

Kiko sighed. "I tried to prank the owl and the fox, but it didn't work. They're too smart for me."

Tito smiled and said, "Maybe it's time to think of a different adventure, Kiko. How about we go on a quest to find the legendary Golden Acorn? They say it's hidden deep in the heart of the forest, and whoever finds it will be granted one wish."

Kiko's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds amazing, Tito! Let's go find the Golden Acorn!"

So, Kiko and Tito set off on their quest. They encountered many obstacles along the way, from tricky river crossings to thorny thickets, but Kiko's adventurous spirit and Tito's wisdom guided them through every challenge.

As they ventured deeper into the forest, they stumbled upon a clearing where a majestic stag stood, guarding a shimmering golden acorn. "Who dares to seek the Golden Acorn?" boomed the stag's voice.

Kiko stepped forward and said, "We do noble stag! We seek the Golden Acorn so that we may make a wish."

The stag looked at Kiko and Tito with a twinkle in his eye. "Very well, brave adventurers. To prove yourselves worthy, you must answer a riddle. If you succeed, the Golden Acorn shall be yours."

Kiko and Tito exchanged determined glances and nodded in unison.

The stag cleared his throat and asked, "I am taken from a mine and shut up in a case, from which I am never released, yet almost every person uses me. What am I?"

Kiko furrowed his brow while Tito stroked his wise old chin. Suddenly, Kiko's eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, "I know the answer! It's a pencil!"

The stag nodded in approval. "Correct, little one. You have proven yourselves worthy. Take the Golden Acorn and make your wish."

Kiko held the Golden Acorn in his tiny hooves and closed his eyes. He thought long and hard about what he truly wanted. Finally, he made his wish.

When Kiko finished making his wish, the Golden Acorn glowed brightly and disappeared with a soft shimmer.

Tito looked at Kiko and asked, "So, what did you wish for, my adventurous friend?"

Kiko grinned from ear to ear and replied, "I wished for endless fun and laughter for all the forest's creatures, including the owl and the fox. I realized that pranks may be fun, but true happiness comes from spreading joy to everyone."

Tito chuckled and patted Kiko on the back. "Well, your wish is already coming true, my friend. Just look around you."

Kiko glanced around and saw the forest filled with laughter and joy. The owl and the fox were rolling on the ground, sharing a good-natured chuckle. Kiko's heart swelled with happiness, knowing that his wish had brought so much joy to his friends.

From that day on, the forest was always filled with fun and laughter, and Kiko continued to have many more adventures with his friends. And though he never played another prank, he was known as the little mouse deer who brought endless joy to the heart of the forest.

And so, the naughty little mouse deer, Kiko, learned that the most fantastic adventure is bringing others happiness. And as long as he lived, the forest echoed with the laughter of a truly joyful heart.

The end.
