“Lexi, look over here. It's a tree frog.” Lilly, the youngest of the two loves animals. They were inseparable. Always Playing, always having fun. Lexi runs over to her sister to see the frog. “That's not a tree frog silly, it's a toad.” Lexi is a very intelligent 14 year old girl, who loves nature, history, science, and next to be an Loa in her family. The two sisters, along with Lexi’s best friend Gerry would walk down to the store at their corner mart, which is a popular place to shop in North Carolina. Their favorite place was the arcade underneath the store, only known to few, which helps to keep people from breaking in to steal the games and ATMs. They walked in and purchased their usual snacks. There was a new employee at the front counter, flirting with one of the customers. The kids grabbed their things and walked to the back stairwell and the knob wasn’t on the door. They weren’t used to seeing that there. And like all curious teens, Lexi opens the door and peaks in. “Lexi, that doesn’t look safe,” Gerry says. The lights were off. It was dark. Maybe she could just walk down to the light she knew that room like the back of her hand. She leaned in further and.. “Lexi….. Move AWAY FROM THE”…… Thud!
Lexi woke up, head pounding from the fall. She looks around and she is in a different place. A big beautiful room, with a fireplace in beautiful clothes, and she isn't 14 she is a woman. What is going on? She heard a soft voice say, I am Loa and this is your destiny. She walked to the mirror and she was a beautiful ebony woman with her dream body, perfect flawless skin, and beautiful smile. She loved it, and finally felt beautiful. She looked on her coffee table and there was a magazine with her picture and she opened it up to her article. As she read she began to swell with tears. The story of how she lived in a home with a single mom raising 2 kids. How her and her sister would buy snacks and give them to the homeless every weekend. She also saw the sad details of her father dying in war. After reading this she snapped back. Where am I? Whose home is this? Whose body is this? She heard a soft voice say, I am Loa and this is your destiny. She opened the door to walk out and there was a man standing there. Good morning my beautiful wife. She screamed and jumped back. He walked closer, “Babe, are you okay?” She saw a name tag with Gerry Wright CEO on his shirt. “Ger-Ry?” …”Um yes.. Are you done, we are going to be late for work”. She got dressed and they got in their Bently and drove off.
The first stop they made was to the homeless shelter. They were building an extra wing to house more of the homeless. Lexi was impressed by who she has become. They volunteered in the teens wing of the shelter and taught teens how to start their own businesses after they graduate school. We taught them how to manage their money and we also taught them how to have proper etiquette.I was in awe that Gerry was still humble and a gentleman as he is in the real world. I never really paid attention to him in that way. He’s always been my best friend and… wait how did I get here, how am I so wealthy… I have to get back to Lily. “Gerry, how did we get so wealthy?” I asked. He smiled at me and said “well, when we were kids you fell down the stairs at the old arcade. My mom, being that she is a lawyer, sued the socks off of the store for 20,000 dollars, and made it so that only you can touch the money but you had to wait until you were 18. When you turned 18 you took the money and invested and gave some to me and your sister and your mom. We all have been investing back and growing our businesses… is that what you wanted to hear Mrs. ego” he said with a smile. I couldn’t be happier to have him as a husband one day when I get back to the……. “Three, two, one CLEAR”.... I woke head pounding from the fall. I looked around and I am in a different place. A hospital, and her head was wrapped in a bandage. She saw her sister, the doctor, Gerry and his mom.” Mrs. Wright, can you represent me,” she asked. I sure will, she said don't be afraid, this was your destiny.
