If Dad was Around...

I didn't had a father around when I was a kid but I have always thought what if my father stayed around.

When I was a kid, I never had a father growing up. I mean I had father before but he was never around. Before my sister and my brother was born, there was me, my mom and my dad. My Dad and I we were very close. We would . I guess you can say I'm a daddy's girl. Around the 2000's, everything was going solid after my brother was born, we moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, my dad started working at his new job as a truck driver and my mother stayed home to take care of me and my sister and my brother. After 12 years since he left, I always wondered what if my father never left this family. I would still had a father. A father who stayed with us and never leaves the family. My father and I would have joked around like we always do. My father and I we would jam to music on the radio, sing along to urban pop, rock n roll, rap music (clean version of rap only), 70's and 80's music he used to listen to before I was born (maybe he'll tell me a story of what music he listen to when he met mom or music he and mom dance to when they were young.)

Even if he was around my teenage years, he would've been the most overly protective dad on earth. Keeping an eye on the boys the ones that sags their pants and tell me to stay away from those "Shark boys". Hell, he'll probably won't let me date even if I turned 16.

If my Dad was around, my father would have taken me to daddy daughter dance. Honestly, I never been to father daughter dance and but when I see events like on TV show and movies. Even if I do marry, I would have a father walk me down the aisle say how beautiful my wedding dress looks. My father will giving away to my future husband as a way of my daughter is all grown up and he can't protect his little girl anymore but give devious looks to my future husband to let him know "not to hurt my little girl or better yet slit your own neck ". He was lucky enough to see his daughter graduate high school but it was unfair that he didn't get a chance to see my siblings/his son and his daughter graduation. But I have wondered what if he was around not just for my sake but their sake.

Would my sister be less obnoxious and less attitude???? (I don't know she'll probably stick to herself but who am I kidding.)

And my brother would he still hang out with those thug-ish friends of his and quit smoking weed????

Dad would have been disappointed and tell him to stop. But where is he???? I have always wondered.

I wondered.....

If only my dad was around.....
