Japan is an amazing Asian country, with a wide variety of amusement parks, theme parks, and water parks scattered across the islands that make up Japan. Yokohama in particular is a port city, known very well for its port and deep trading history with other nations. Aside from the image as a port city, Yokohama is an amazing family friendly destination which has all sorts of entertainment options for kids and parents alike.

CupNoodles Museum

This museum is an amazing location due to the sheer volume of creativity that went into the concept and a brilliant display of the historical significance of instant noodes/ ramen across any country. The icing on the cake, or rather the topping of the instant noodle, is the chance to create your own customized Cup Noodles which has become a viral trend across many social media platforms. For the kids visiting the CupNoodles Museum, the museum offers several interactive exhibits, including a "My CupNoodles Factory," where kids can design their own Cup Noodles package and choose the flavours and ingredients, giving themselves a cute piece of memorabilia from this adventure. The CupNoodles Museum is about half an hour away from popular serviced apartments in Yokohama such as the Oakwood Suites Yokohama, making the commute to this museum fairly easy for visitors.

Cosmo World

Cosmo World in Yokohama is a popular amusement park featuring various rides and other activites for the entire family to embrace and enjoy. The amusement park has a massive Ferris Wheel which draws in a large volume of people because of the stunning panoramic views of Yokohama from the top of the ride. The best time to visit this amusement park is during the evening or during the weekdays because you will not have to wait in large queues and waste time. Visiting the Ferris Wheel is a must-do, especially for those with younger children because this ride will help leave a lasting and beautiful impression of Yokohama. Additionally, this amusement park also has a rollercoaster that dives into the ground called the "Vanish," which will provide your family a truly unique experience.

Anpanman Children's Museum

The Anpanman Children’s Museum is dedicated to a cute little bread superhero (lowkey resembling One Punch Man), known as Anpanman, as he is one of Japan’s most beloved children’s characters. This colourful and interactive museum is a dream come true for toddlers and younger children, who either already love Anpanman or could grow to love Anpanman. This museum hosts a large variety of live shows, interactive exhibits, and play areas that will keep your children entertained during their adventure in this museum. Although children older than eight years might not be too interested, toddlers and younger children will have a blast. The themed restaurants and bakeries offer snacks shaped like Anpanman and his friends, which is sure to delight younger fans and Anpanman enthusiasts alike.

Yokohama Science Center

The Yokohama Science Center is an excellent place to bring children with an interest in space, science, and technology although it provides a more educational experience over an entertainment experience, this landmark offers a beautiful venture for aspiring little scientists. The planetarium is the centre’s main attraction, offering shows that explore the universe in an engaging and kid-friendly way. There are also hands-on exhibits focused on physics, robotics, and outer space along with special science demonstrations that are held regularly, inviting children to participate in experiments. Many exhibits have English explanations, but it is helpful to have a basic understanding of Japanese for some of the more complex activities, which will give parents an amazing chance to practice their Japanese skills as well.
