Well... It's no secret that children get injured... Frequently. ESPECIALLY if you have boys and multiple of them.

I may have found a book that will save you multiple visits to the doctors office and paid deductibles.

PLEASE NOTE: This book and recommendation is meant for BASIC injuries as outlined in the book.

So. Let's begin:

The Author: Dr. Maybell is known for developing new, ingenious methods of treating patients after Venezuela's economy collapsed and hospitals and pharmacies ran out of medicines, supplies, electricity and running water.

The methods she developed and pioneered are now studied and applied in conflict zones all over the world.

Many of these protocols and procedures do not require medical assistance as they are specifically designed to be self-applied. That makes them extremely valuable if the medical system cannot be depended on, like during long term blackouts.

"The Home Doctor - Practical Medicine for Every Household" is a guidebook for basic home healthcare and first-aid. It likely covers topics such as how to diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries, how to use home remedies and over-the-counter medications, and how to prevent illnesses and injuries in the first place.

The book is likely aimed at individuals who want to be able to handle minor health issues at home, rather than relying on a doctor or medical professional for every problem.

AGAIN! It's important to note that while a guidebook like "The Home Doctor" can be useful for learning basic first-aid and healthcare skills, it's not a substitute for professional medical advice and treatment. If you have a serious or persistent health issue, it's always best to consult with a doctor or medical professional.

As a parent, being able to diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries at home can be a useful skill, especially in case of emergencies when immediate medical attention may not be readily available.

Additionally, having a basic understanding of home healthcare and first-aid can also help mothers to make informed decisions about their family's health and well-being.

It's also possible that mothers may appreciate the convenience of having a single resource for basic home healthcare information, rather than having to search for information online or consult with multiple sources.

Being that this book is backed and written by ACTUAL doctors, makes it more appealing.

It's interesting that I have to make the distinction that practicing doctors wrote this book and not mommy bloggers.

Other parents and even singles have noted and appreciate the following that this book and many others like it possess:

1: Convenience: Having a single resource for basic home healthcare information can be convenient for people who want to be able to handle minor health issues at home.

2: Empowerment: Knowing how to diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries can give people a sense of empowerment and control over their own health and well-being.

3: Cost-effectiveness: By being able to diagnose and treat minor health issues at home, people can potentially save time and money that would have been spent on doctor's visits or medical treatments.

4: Peace of mind: Knowing basic first-aid and home healthcare skills can provide peace of mind, especially for parents and caregivers, who want to be able to help in case of emergencies.

5: The emergency factor: In a childs eyes, any injury is an emergency. But beyond that, the fact that these techniques are used in emergency situations, means you don't need to buy any snake oil in order treat injuries.

Additionally, it provides answers to questions like: How do I recognize a heart attack? What happens when I take expired medication? Or How do I relieve back pain?

So what are you waiting for?!
