Chapter Six: How to Keep Your Man From Cheating: 6 Tips That Will Guarantee Success
Men are social animals, and that means they crave human connection. If they’re not getting enough quality time with their friends, family, or significant other, they may start looking for a more meaningful connection outside of their cozy home. Their search for intimacy could lead them to the arms of another woman. Cheating among men is much more common than you think. In fact, a recent survey found that one in three men has cheated on their partner within the past six months. While some people might be quick to blame technology for this high rate of infidelity, science shows that men are naturally inclined to look outside their primary relationship for something more exciting and stimulating. So how can you keep your man from cheating with other women? Read on to discover our tips and tricks to help guarantee success...
Don’t Be Too clingy or needy
You may think that clinging to your man will keep him faithful, but in reality, it can threaten to tear down any relationship. If your behavior is making your man feel suffocated and controlled, he may start looking for excitement and adventure outside of your relationship. This can cause him to want to explore other options that are outside your relationship. If you desperately want him to stay with you, you might be tempted to push him away if he shows signs of wanting to explore other options. This can make him feel like he’s doing something wrong, and it could lead him to be more brazen about looking elsewhere. Instead, try to find ways to show your man that you love him, even if he’s thinking about cheating.
Be a good listener
Men are often judged for their decisions, so if other women try to talk your man into straying from you, he may start to think that he’s doing something wrong. This can cause him to feel embarrassed, and he may not even be aware of what he’s doing that’s leading him away from you. Be a good listener. During your man’s moments of temptation, focus on what he’s saying, not what he’s doing. Push him to talk to you about his thoughts and feelings, and try to help him see the situation from your perspective. If he seems particularly anxious, try to use your intuitive abilities to help him uncover the underlying cause of his anxiety. You may be able to do this by looking for clues in what he says or does that may hint at his true motives.
Make time for date night
Date nights don’t have to be fancy affairs. You can have a simple dinner with your man or a movie night at home. These simple activities can be the perfect way to reconnect and show your man that you care. If your man is struggling to make time for you during his busy schedule, try to find ways to make yourself available to him. If you work a demanding 9-to-5 job, try to schedule some time for you to be with him during his lunch break. If you have kids, try to make time for him to take care of the kids during his lunch hour.
Show some (safe) affection
Men may think that slapping your ass or giving them a kiss on the cheek is a sign that you love them. But in reality, that’s a sign of low self-esteem and insecurity. Men prefer affection that comes from a place of confidence and self-love. If your man would rather give you a love gift than a material one, it could be a sign that he appreciates the love and affection you’re showing him. A love gift might be something as small as a card or note, a piece of art, or a small gift for his desk or car.
Be honest about your wants and needs
When a man is feeling the need to explore other options, he might be more likely to cheat if he’s not honest with you about his intentions. If your man seems like he’s preoccupied with the idea of cheating, try to use your intuition to help him uncover the underlying causes of his anxiety. You may be able to do this by asking him direct questions, such as: - “When you think about cheating, what do you feel?” - “What are you thinking right now?” - “What would make you feel better?” - “What’s one thing that would make you feel better?”
Stay connected with friends and family
As you prepare for the long haul with your man, try to stay connected with your friends and family. Men are social creatures, and they crave human connection. If you feel like you’re starting to lose your man to another woman, try to find ways to reconnect with your close friends and family members.
Cheating is never okay, and men are more likely to cheat than women. It’s important to know how to keep your man from cheating to ensure that your relationship lasts a lifetime. When he’s feeling the desire for an exciting connection with another woman, try to help him uncover the underlying causes of his desire. Focus on building a relationship with him that’s based on love, respect, and intimacy. Find ways to connect with him emotionally, and use technology to help keep the lines of communication open. When you know how to keep your man from cheating, you can be sure that you’ve got the best chance of making your relationship last.
