Dreams of Life

So, this story is real in fact it is a dream made reality. Whenever I was younger the people older than me always said to marry your best friend and while then it sounded utterly unbelievable, I tried over and over to get with the people that where truly what I believed to be my best friends. This ended in disaster most of the time for many different reasons. I was on the verge of just saying it is not possible to be with your best friend in a relationship of that status. It was right after me and another best friend broke up that I discovered the real trick to marrying your best friend. You do not get into a so-called relationship with that best friend. You and your best friend just expand what you already have. You do not have to change anything because you and your best friend are already great together otherwise you would not be best friends. Right? Of course, so in all reality all you must do is keep being friends because that is how it all starts. I am today sitting here writing this story of me and my best friend because well I just proposed to my best friend of twelve years and wow, I want to say everything is just going to be fun and exciting like it has always been. But this is also life so I cannot say that because one part of moving your relationship that extra step is I get the adventure of a lifetime by taking on her stresses as well as my own. So clearly everyday cannot be perfect and that exactly why you marry your best friend. You both already do great when things are fun and exciting and of course you both will fight and probably have so many times you cannot count them. So now you have beat half the battle of life without even knowing it because this entire time you have been getting ready for marriage. Have you ever seen that married couple that you just know they will never break up no matter if they fight or not? I know I have and hell looking back on it that was me and my best friend for twelve years. The little simple parts that you never thought about. That fight over them leaving to go hang out with that other friend or when they forgot to call you on your birthday or even that time you did not show up when they truly needed you. That was all the same exact fights you are going to go through during a real marriage, and it takes best friends to make it through those struggles and fights. So, this morning as I write all of this with my best friend and soon to be wife lying in bed beside me literally wrapped around me, I know I am doing the right thing. I am terrified of losing her or hurting her or anything of that nature or maybe I am just scared things will change but if anybody in the world could make it through this crazy thing called life or even marriage. It would and will be me and my best friend. My name is Alexander W. Johnson, and I am proud to say that my very best friend and soon to be wife is the amazing Alesia N. Johnson. So, I will write soon you all know I will. I have only got one cliche thing to say here and I am finding it to be true. Everyone should marry their best friend so go live the adventure of life and figure out which friend is truly your best.
