Displaying Your Maternity Photos at Your Baby Shower

Introducing your baby in style!

By Lucretia JohnsonPublished 5 months ago 3 min read

A baby shower is one of the most exciting and meaningful celebrations during pregnancy. It's a time for family and friends to come together to shower the mom/dad-to-be with love and support. When I am doing a maternity photoshoot I always look to bring out the personality of the parents so that it can be on full display at their shower. While most baby shower decor often includes themed decorations, games, and gifts, there is one personal tough that can make the event even more special: displaying maternity photos. Here's why it's fantastic idea:

Enhances the Event's Aesthetic:

What better way to make your baby shower upscale than with elevating your visuals, featuring YOU?! Yes mama, the shower is for welcoming the baby, but you are the powerhouse carrying the gift. We will not hesitate to honor you too. It doesn't matter if you are planning a simple celebration or a glamorous event, you can use your photos to enhance the decor. Use them as centerpieces, create a collage, or print out giant versions of them to display on the entry doors. Your photos are not only eye-catching, but they also elevate the overall vibe of your event. Whatever your vide is I will find it and be able to make it standout.

Be The Talk of the Town or Party, in this case:

Of course at your shower, you will get all the baby related questions: "Is he kicking?" "Do you thing the baby will come on the due date?" "Do you have a name picked out?" "Who do you think she will look like?" And that's fine and good. But imagine what everyone will say when they see your gorgeous maternity photos all over the event. Honey, they conversations will be talking about how gorgeous you look and how stunning you are, and how you are truly glowing. Yeah, it will be a lot of Ooo lalas...especially if I'm your photographer (shameless plug). Your photos are bound to have your mom friends reminiscing on their own pregnancy journey and sharing sweet sentiments of joy with you. If you are going to do it big then make them talk about it.

Create Timeless Keepsakes:

Your baby shower will come and go, but the memories captured in your maternity photos will last forever. By displaying them at your shower, you're creating a visual timeline of your pregnancy that you can look back on for years to come. After the event, the photos can be framed and showcased on your home walls for you and your family to cherish.

Using images as décor at a baby shower adds a personal and meaningful touch that guests will always remember. Displaying maternity photos or newborn portraits creates a warm, celebratory atmosphere while honoring the journey into parenthood. Photos can be styled on tables, hung as banners, or placed in elegant frames, turning the event into a heartfelt experience that beautifully blends love, anticipation, and artistry.

Think of it this way, your journey into motherhood is completely unique to you, so your baby shower should continue on that path as well. displaying your maternity photos at your baby shower is a beautiful way to honor your pregnancy story and make it more meaningful. It allows you to celebrate not just the impending arrival of your baby, but the transformation you've undergone as a mom-to-be. I've been honored to captured some fun themes in my sessions from boxing, to a sunny day in Paris. We make it fun and exciting. So, when planning your baby shower, don't forget to include these special photographs taken by your favorite Orlando Maternity Photographer, that will make your day even more memorable for you and your loved ones.
