Chapter 16
Sean was "Thugged" out in a hoodie and baggie jeans. Boo-G looked like a "Rough-neck" and was one who frequently engaged in destructive behavior and action. Boo-G, also had a broken "Five Point Star" tattoo on his left hand. Which demonstrated the hatred and animosity for the other rival gangs. Lucinda sat apart from the boys with several other girls. They sat whispering together excitedly about the rumors around school of Big Shorty's encounter with the other gangs.
Lucinda sat quietly and watched the boys from the corner of her eyes. She could clearly hear the conversation from where she sat. The school population had grown pretty fond of Big Shorty and because of his courageous behavior that day, he had gained a lot of respect. The school bell rang as Mrs. Larman stood up in front of the class and stated, "Alright class, it's time for you all to go home, thank God", as she smiled that kind of smile to let you know that she was only playing. Mrs. Larman wore a new hairdo that was chin-length, with bangs in the center. A large lock of it hung over one eye. Then she continue on a more serious note, "Be sure to complete your homeworks asignments
Big Shorty exited the class and walked to the back entrance of the school, only to notice Mack and Capone making their initial steps to mob up against him. Lucinda looked out of the window on the school bus at the large number of "Lords and Stones" that had gathered together. There was "Lords and Stones" on all four corners of the school. Lucinda embraced her books up against her tightly as she felt her heart beat soundly against her chest. She watched as Moody placed a hand on Big Shorty's shoulder and nodded in the direction of Sean, who was sitting in a fresh blue and black suburban, with twenty-four inch rims on it.
There was also a row of other cars lined up behind the suburban, with the same blue and black paint jobs and fancy rims on them also. "There goes Sean inside of the suburban", Moody said as he pointed this out to Big Shorty. The bass from the cars was just about all that anyone could hear. Lucinda became increasingly worried about Big Shorty as the number of "Lords and Stones" continued to jump off the busses. Lucinda took a very nervous breath and stared at the crowd that would soon surround Big Shorty. The sight of all the "Lords and Stones", along with their gang chants began to rouse the Gangtsta's that were rowed up in the parking lot of the school.
Sean exited the suburban, and like the domino effect, all of the rest of the Gangsta's left their cars and followed Sean, and most were ready to raise their jackets and shirts to display the weapons that were hidden in their waistbands. A great number of "Lords and Stones" had gathered together, leaving but just a little room for the Gangsta's and their vehicles. Cold Black stood out apart from all the rest of the students, and as he approached the crowd, a towering dark shadow casted a ghostly animated silhouette on the pavement. He seemed every bit of seven feet tall and as palpable as a nightmare.

"What's the deal, Nucca's?", he said. Big Shorty looked at him and could just tell from the overall looks of him, that he had hell of juice. He looked intimidating, with an aggressive readiness. Both gangs stood still as Lucinda blinked with concerned eyes from her bus. At first she thought she was daydreaming as she zoomed in on all of the guns that the Gangsta's were holding. Mack and Capone joined with their gang and gave the ghost-face visage, and backed up.
"Wwoooee!", the group of "Stones and Lords" mumbled among themselves. Cold Black jerked his pistol out from his waistband with the barrel facing the "Lords and Stones", and with a sudden gesture of his head, he signaled to Big Shorty and Moody to head for the suburban. his real name was "Cole Black", and he stared into the crowd with murderous eyes, as if a part of him was more than ready to open fire on the other gangs, whom were less than fifteen feet away from the barrel of his gun. Instead, as Big Shorty and Moody managed their way to the suburban, he elected to vacate the premises of the school, as he then backed away from the crowd and entered the driver's seat of the suburban, and calmly said, "Let's ride, these fools don't nothin'!"
Boo-G, who was in the rear of the suburban, motioned to Big Shorty and Moody to hurry inside the suburban, as the squealing of the wheels of the suburban was heard as the vehicles drove off. The suburban first, escorted by a Chevy, a cutlass, a regal, a Cadillac, Eldorado, a Cadillac coupe, etc…. Lucinda, who saw everything from the window of her bus, felt her tension wane as the vehicles pulled away. She waved at them as they sped by in their splurged whips that distinguished the stunning character of the Gangsta's they maintained and was rightfully due to them.
Cold Black peeked into the rear mirror at Moody's "4CH" tattoo, which was prominent on his neck. The presence of Moody was definitely as intrusion. Cold Black clenched his teeth and forced himself to keep his temper. "Cold Black, this is Big Shorty and Moody", Sean pointed out, as Cold Black lurched back at Moody in mild annoyance. Sean was sitting in the passenger seat with a pocket full of twenty dollar sacks of Hydro. He dug into his pocket with a killer smile, while in the back seat, Boo-G's eyebrows lifted, along with Big Shorty's and Moody's eyebrows.
Cold Black smelt it, which made him grin back to the guys in the back seat, as the rest of the group held an expression of surprise on their faces. "I got some killa' Hydro! That stickey-icky!", said Sean. Big Shorty turned and gazed out of the window, looking at the other cars that were trailing them. the bass vibrated through the woven fabric of the seats and rattled the interior of the suburban. They slipped a left onto Commercial Street to avoid the Dicks. "Stop at the gas station to get some cigarettes", said Sean, but Cold Black didn't stop.
Moody found himself unsettled among the Gangsta's and so he informed Big Shorty in a disguised, low whisper, to have Cold Black drop him off on 95th Street, at the Dan Ryan Train Station. "Yo, Gangsta, drop off "Solid" at the train station on 95th and Dan Ryan", requested Big Shorty, being that the train station was not far from where they were. Cold Black bent a quick right onto 95th Street and all of the other cars followed closely behind Cold Black as he changed into different lanes. Sean pointed in the direction of the rear tinted window, out at the blue and black Chevy with the chrome grill and said, "That's Cold Black's nephew, Little Black, and in the passenger seat, it's Goldie."
Big Shorty stared at Little Black's dark skin and at his shapely beard. He looked to be in his early twenties, Big Shorty estimated. Cold Black pulled up to the gas station directly across from the train station. Big Shorty and Moody bound hands to make a fast and firmly fixed "Four Corner Hustler" and "Gangsta" handshake to reaffirm the bond that they shared. Cold Black turned the volume of the radio down to a sensible level. Twista's "Get It Wet" was playing on the radio. "I'll holla, Gangstas", said Moody. "Four of them solid", Big Shorty blurted out.
Moody reached to open the door and the radio went back up to full blast, the music's bass bouncing off the surrounding cars. Moody was careful not to step on the broken forty-ounce of St. Ives bottles on the pavement as he stepped out of the suburban. He then walked across the three lanes of traffic and into the train station. All this was done without a single change in his facial expression. The twenty-inch Nessas' of the Chevy crawled up shining next to the suburban. Big Shorty glanced at Little Black, but still noticed that the Cutlass and the Regal had crept up too along side of Little Black's Chevy.
Sean threw up the "Pitch Forks" to Little Black while stepping out of the suburban's side door, knowing without a doubt that it was time to go inside the gas station to get a pack of cigarillos to roll a fat blunt of Hydro'. Meanwhile, Goldie was crouched back, pimped out with fresh gear inside the little black whip. In his position zooming in on his victim tugging at her skintight spandex shirt while patting her Micro braids. He treaded very slowly towards the red Neon car with, "Delicious" on the license plates. She stood at the gas pump when Little Black cooed, "What's your name honey?"
She manage to keep her emotions under control as she dotted into his cute hazel eyes and then to his finger waves, and then with a mechanical ease she said, "My name is Rae-Rae", as she smiled with a pervasive emotional warmth. Goldie, eliciting her response, then caressed her hand in a way, wrapping around hers along with the gas handle. With an expression of warm approval, she paused to catch her breath and to hold her hormones apex. While looking at the sweat pressing through his blue jersey. "I'll fill you up", he quipped as he tipped his shades and then said, "Do you and your girls want to go smoke some Dro' and grab some drinks?"
