Breaking Free

By Rachael Bradford

INTRODUCTION

When you hear breaking free what comes to your mind? Ultimately what came to your mind was freeing oneself from sort of bondage, right? That is my exact train of thought here. No matter what type of bondage you are needing to free yourself from, whether it be an addiction, a physical, mental, emotional, or even spiritual bondage, it is the best decision you could ever make for yourself. Invest in your sanity, your happiness, and your future, all in all the largest investment you can ever make is in yourself. In order to make that investment a successful is by, yes, breaking free from whatever is holding you back from growth.

This is a story about a young girl named Rianna’s journey to break free from her bondages. We will be a fly on the wall as we watch her life unfold, how her life affects who she becomes, and finally her journey of learning how to break free from all of those unsettling feelings and trauma. She must learn to channel her inner pain to help her progress to the woman of her potential. She must learn to battle in her fight within to allow the emotional pain and self-doubt that comes along with to hold her back any longer.

CHAPTER 1

Rianna was born in the small town of Chunchula, Alabama southeast of Mount Vernon. She was the youngest of three girls. Yes, she was a whopping 3 seconds younger than her sisters. They were triplets Sienna, Dianna, and Rianna. They were born to Ladonna, whose beauty was a treasure to behold, and Isaiah Asahd, who had a handsome chiseled face. Isaiah and Ladonna were made for each other. They had practically known each other all their lives. Ok, maybe they met in their twenties, but it felt like they had been friends their entire life. Which meant they had been married for 7 years and dated for 3 years prior,

Now a days, you rarely see couples just deeply in love with each other. I mean all of my friends parents never show any PDA I mean gross, right? But no not my parents they want to be all in each other’s face no matter who happens to be in their home. Me especially I’m like come on old people I don’t wanna see you smooching. They always seem to reply with some crazy comment like this is their house so I could close my eyes all day for all they care. Totally rude response in my opinion, I’m just saying, I can not wait until the tables are vice versa and they are visiting my home Im going to PDA my husband alright. Ok, that may not have came out right, but, I know you know what I mean. Seriously all jokes aside it was cute the way they adored each other so.

All in all they were really cool parents. Both of them made sure we talked everyday and picked my brain on my latest ideas or what I had picked up from my classmates. They were my own personal cheerleaders and a bodyguard all in one packaged deal. I did love it, there was no way either of the three of us girls felt neglected yet still not smothered just as equally important.

You could say my life was perfect and I would tell you, “yes, yes you are correct.” My hardest decision in a day was what I shall wear for the day. After school, I would play with my sisters and our cousins. The whole street was basically only relatives. We played outside until the street lights were off. That was the sign to all of the children that it was time to go home.

Rianna was always a happy go lucky child. She was often described as silly just like her father. She was the absolute perfect combination of both of her parents. She had her father’s face structure with her mother features.

There was a hint of shyness about her that she picked up from her mother. In her eyes was the light of innocent joy and humor. She was a natural born comforter just like her father, Isaiah.

CHAPTER 2

Every day was a fairy tale, that is until one day when the girls were close to finishing 5th grade looking forward to next year being a new start as she would be entering middle school.
