“Baba Lightning and Freddie Presents Career Day”

It is “Parent’s Career Day” at Red leaf elementary and the students were excited.

Freddie was happy for his classmates to meet his dad. Freddie was overjoyed, he couldn’t hide it.

Parent after parent, shared their exciting careers. One parent was a doctor and another a courtroom judge.

Freddie was impressed, but he knew his dad’s job was the best. He was so convinced, he wouldn’t even budge.

Freddie was next, but his dad was not there.

The class believed that his dad forgot to show up, but Freddie told everyone to look up toward the air.

The class saw a man they recognized and understood that their day had just become more exciting.

The man landed next to Freddie, with a huge smile on his face. Freddie announced, “Friends, meet my dad, Baba Lightning”

Baba Lightning was the hero of Red Lead City. He greatest hero that the city has ever had.

The classroom knew the everything about their favorite hero, except the fact that he was Freddie’s dad.

The class was ecstatic. They began to shoot out so many questions

“Can you teach me to fly?” “How are you so strong?” “Can you please teach us some superhero lessons?”

The teacher calmed everyone down and said, “Let’s relax and ask our questions one at a time.

Who wants to be the first to share what’s on their mind?”

A girl in a red shirt raised his hand and asked, “Was the fight against The Giant Octopus the toughest thing you had to do?”

Baba Lightning laughed and answered, “No, it was actually trying to get Freddie potty-trained when he was the age of two”

The class laughed, including Freddie, who thought the joke was funny.

A boy with a blue shirt stood up and asked, “How fun was it when you raced against the atomic bunny?”

Baba Lightning answered, “The race against the Atomic Bunny? I definitely had a lot of fun.

But I must say it wasn’t as fun the time I fixed my bike with my son.”

The classroom knew that when it came to defending the city, Baba Lightning is the best and is always ready.

But to their surprise, in Baba’s eyes, his memorable feats seem to involve Freddie.

A big kid with a black jacket raised his hand and asked,

“Was your greatest moment when you saved our city from the powerful, alien blast?”

Baba thought for a moment as if the question made him feel torn.

Then a smile flashed across his face and said, “My proudest moment was when this little guy was born.”

Baba added, “I have fought the strongest of villains, I have done many great deeds.

I have plugged the moon with a boulder and I have flown across the world at high speeds.

I am proud to be the hero of Red leaf City, I am proud that the city is safe for everyone.

But nothing has made me more proud then calling Freddie, my son.

The Class applauded and the teacher was so joyful that she began to cry.

Baba looked at Freddie and said, “Let’s go, son, it is time to hit the sky.”

Baba Lightning and Freddie soared through the skies, both happy and proud.

The son enjoying time with his dad, flying over each white cloud.

“What’s next, Freddie?” Baba asked his son.

A bright smile flashed across Freddie’s face, “What we do best dad. Let’s fly around and have some fun.”

A smile on their faces, they both look forward to many adventures and much more fun.

They look forward to doing it together, Baba Lightning and Freddie, his son.
