Autobiography

A fantasy variant

I have written quite a few autobiographies since I graduated from high school. I needed them for university admission, during my military service - mandatory at the time - and to start work. Even in high school, I had to write autobiographies to be accepted into various organizations, membership in which was mandatory during the communist era.

These kinds of autobiographies have different names in different countries - resumes, CVs, and many others -but they are essentially a type of autobiography. Famous people write real autobiographies. I am not famous, nor am I a popular person or a celebrity, but as a content creator, as the modern term goes, I decided to write my own autobiography, which could not be in the form of a resume or CV.

Furthermore, I decided it would be a fantasy fairy tale.

So, let's begin.

Once upon a time... No, this is not the right beginning.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a planet where a boy lived. He loved fairy tales so much that he started to create his own. Complex universes were born from his imagination, but these universes remained only in his head. Why didn’t he share them with others? Maybe because nobody was interested in them. But that does not matter.

This boy also liked to watch the stars. In his small town on his planet, there was no light pollution, and at night, a gorgeous starry sky spread over the little house and yard where the boy lived. So he watched the stars and dreamed of studying them.

When he grew up, he forgot about the stars, and other things caught his attention.

On that planet resided a powerful Jedi Order, which studied the secrets of the Universe. The boy became a Padawan of a mighty Jedi who was highly skilled with the Force and could split the light and harness it to serve people. He could make the light transfer information, start and stop different processes, and reveal the inner structure of substances. It was an interesting job, but after some years of apprenticing, the Padawan realized that his skills with the Force would never match those of the mighty Jedi. So he decided to search for another field to direct his efforts.

A powerful emperor ruled this planet. The people were separated into many different kingdoms and republics, even different tribes, but the emperor's dominion was over all. He had captured the minds and hearts of the people and ruled their daily lives. People from all around the world, regardless of their lifestyle, material situation, beliefs, and political perceptions, bowed before him every day and could not live without his avatars.

This addiction, of course, is harmful to the people. It consumes much of their time and attention, causing them to often lose contact with reality. The emperor managed to enslave almost everyone's minds and time.

On the other hand, this emperor tried to help the people. His avatars and emanations helped people solve many of their problems. Most importantly, they helped people connect with each other easily.

So the former Padawan made a decision to start serving this emperor. He decided that the emperor's might could be used for the good of the people, and that the easy connection between them was too important and would help them overcome their differences. So he started to help the emperor with his efforts to connect people more easily.

During all that time, the suppressed universes in the mind of that boy—who was no longer a boy, but had become an old man—kept reminding him of their existence. So he eventually began to give them freedom. At first, he shared them in some forums, then in his own blog, and finally, he started to write books. Did he regret not starting to do it earlier? It doesn’t matter—nobody can change the past.

So he started to write in a foreign language, hoping this would help his efforts to facilitate connections between people. He believes that when people know each other better, they will not hate each other without reason.

And this was my fantasy autobiography. And every word in it is true, I swear.

Oh, what a sweet and lovely story. Dreamers can sense the stars in other dreamers. I am doing the same, writing down dreamscapes with high hopes. Best of luck with them true stories.
