An Autistic Boy Gets Slapped in the Face
A severely autistic boy gets slapped in the face by a grown man for touching his car. Here's my thoughts coming from a mother with an autistic son.
Honestly, this story is heartbreaking! And this is coming from a mother with an autistic child herself.
A 10-year-old severely nonverbal autistic boy was getting slapped in the face by a grown man at a bus stop for touching his car. The video went viral on social media driven the whole LA community angry.
All news sources are from KTLA and ABC7.
The video shows a 10-year-old severely autistic boy sitting on a bus bench with his older sister when the grown "upset" disgusting man slaps him. The boy, who has autism, reportedly damaged the Mercedes emblem on the front. The video shows Alfredo's sister apologizing but the man hits him anyway. The man walks away, gets in his car, and drives away.
Unfortunately, No arrests has been made.
The child who was slapped in the face was identified as 10-year-old Alfredo Morales.
Same exact age as my son.
His family are homeless, living in a SUV in Arleta, and takes public transportation and that's why they were at the bus stop. His parents were aware of the video. His mother, Claudia Acevedo almost cried as she explained how upset she was that someone would be so bold as to slap a young child for touching a car. The parents said Alfredo likes to touch whatever is around him. If you watch on the news, he was touching reporters in a stimming way which is the same way as my son. His father, Miguel Alfredo Morales, said he doesn't believe in violence and would never hit his children so he's very upset that his son had to endure this. According to the Morales family, they used to own a family restaurant until it was closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The family not only lost their restaurant but their home as well.
Here's the Morales's families Gofundme page if you would like to help them. Donate what you can:
After hearing what happened several people decided to find the family, bring food, and try to do whatever they could to help. Attorney Antonio Villegas representing the Morales family says this attack could lead to a charge of battery.
"I'm going to make sure that we speak to the LAPD so they have all the information that they need to complete a thorough investigation."
Villegas, attorney representing the Morales family told KTLA.
However, this isn't the only story when an autistic child gets assaulted. There are more reports of autistic children getting physically assaulted. For example, A 3-year-old autistic child was hit in the face by a school employee after trying to leave the classroom. The employee has since resigned after being placed on administrative leave. No charges against has been made.
Another child, a 10-year-old (same age as my son and Alfredo) autistic boy came home from school with bruises. A bus aide claims he keeps hitting himself with a toy however the surveillange footage showed the bus aide physically assaulting the child. The bus aide was fired and charged with one count of third-degree assault on an at a risk person.
THE SCHOOL NEEDS TO DO BETTER!!!!!
Also, when I was watching the video I went down the comment section. Some people were straight up defending the man who slapped the child by saying "he got what he deserves" or "he should've never touched his car" or "I would do the same way too."
Sick ass Trolls!!!
This is a child!!! AN AUTISTIC CHILD!!!!
Imagine if this was your child diagnosed with autism and touched someone's vehicle and that stranger who owns the vehicle slaps or hits your child. What would you do? Let the autistic child have it?
YOU CAN NEVER PUT YOUR HANDS ON A CHILD WHETHER AUTISTIC OR NOT!!!!
Also, the Mercedes was slightly damaged so what's the big damn deal. Yes, The car is expensive but he has the money and the power to get his fucking car fixed plus there's no need to put his hand on a child and take it out on him. I would understand if he takes it out on the parents but an innocent child.....
Hell, I could care less if he takes it out on me if it were me but honestly put your hands on my son I will be in handcuffs for assault and battery and vandalism for destorying his Mercedes. You hit my child you'll be suffering with bruises.
Overall, it is nice and great to see everyone on GoFundme showing support for Alfredo and his family and being positive for him.

I hope Alfredo's families' will find a home and get the help for him, and hopefully, they'll get justice for Alfredo.
