A Special Christmas

Hey, we all know that Christmas is around the corner. Its usual to decorate the house, decorate a Christmas Tree, call friends an family over dinner. That's the usual way of celebrating Christmas every year. We generally give gifts during Christmas to everyone. Its not as much as about gifts but the habit of giving that is valuable. How about celebrating Christmas this time with a slightly different way and giving a little differently.

We all generally give money, a percentage of our earnings to any orphanage or an old age home when we do well or on our Birthdays, Anniversary or some special occasions. But how about going to the orphanage or an old age home this time and celebrating this Christmas there with them. Instead of gifting them occasionally only on Christmas or on your Birthday, why not associate and volunteer with one such institution regularly. All it requires is a different way of thinking or doing the same things but with adding a little more of your human touch to it.

This time let's celebrate Christmas by visiting a local old age home and celebrate with them. Let them feel that their son or daughter or probably their grandchildren are at home for Christmas. What fun it would be to dance to on your favorite songs remembering your Grand Mother or Grand Father and laughing and doing all sorts of weird tricks and mischiefs that you did in your childhood only with them. Its re living your childhood memories with them again. A bond that lost its connect because of distance or any other reason can be re brought into your life. Its always fun to have a pizza party and your favorite Turnkey with the entire family friends and praying for everyone's safety on Christmas eve. Praying and eating together is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. Why not combine it with giving and bonding over with it. What better way to celebrate Christmas when you already know that this a special Christmas where you have already have best wishes and blessings from these elders whose joy is boundless knowing that they are not left alone without their children on this special day. We all crave for a longing or family but are separated by death, a reality of life, from them. Why not, relive those moments and cherish these regularly if you can by creating bonds of forever than mere doing it occasionally. Associate regularly with them instead of just once. Volunteer weekly or monthly instead of only on your Birthday or Christmas.

Last but not the least, the gift time. Normally we give gifts on this day but this time we will be giving less and receiving more this Christmas since You are the their Secret Santa who came as a lovely daughter or son to make their Christmas love filled than the gifts that you could probably take for them.

To conclude, its a bond that you will cherish for your entire lifetime. A bond that only grows deeper with each passing year or with time. A relationship with these strangers is more like a family as you regularly show up at their place or are taking care of their necessity. Money can be given by many but its your time that they cherish, feel valued about and be blessed to have YOU in their life. Time is more important than money that you give them.

So give your time to them this Christmas than money because you know why, "THIS IS A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS". A special Christmas where the joy of giving was more than receiving, where words were not spoken but the tears in eyes did speak.
