Parenthood – it is the dream of so many people. The wish to procreate, to give birth to one’s own children. The wish that quickly follows after this which many people wish and long for is the wish to become grandparents! For the children that you birthed to give birth to their own children.

It is a true blessing and today we’ll be counting down 7 Nigerian Celebrities Who are Fortunate Enough to be Grandparents. Some of them you might be familiar with, some you might not be. Either way, it’s a fun list!

1. Patience Ozokwor

Veteran Nigerian actress Patience Ozokwor aka Mama G, G for General is a lucky mother of three biological children and five adopted children. All of Patience’s children are now grown and have gone on to start families of their own.

Patience Ozokwor is now reportedly a grandmother to no less than 16 grandchildren! Incredible.

2. Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva

Beloved actor Olu Jacobs and wife Joke Silva are also two actors that are fortunate to be grandparents. The couple have been married for a very long time now and their first son, Olusoji Jacobs is now a grown man.

Olusoji in 2018 tied the knots with his now wife Boma and together they have a baby together making Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva proud grandparents.

3. Ireti Doyle

Popular Nigerian actress, producer, and TV personality Ireti Doyle had her first child when she was just 17 years old. As you can imagine, that little girl has now grown all the way up and is now a married woman with a baby girl.

Ireti Doyle is now a proud grandmother.

4. Liz Benson

Veteran Nollywood actress Liz Benson is another tour de force on screen who is fortunate enough to now be a grandmother. Liz Benson has three children and in 2017, her daughter Lilian tied the knot with her husband Promise Diribe. Late in 2019, the two welcomed their first baby together making Liz Benson a proud grand mom.

5. Pete Edochie

Another beloved Nigerian actor who has been married for many many years now is actor Pete Edochie. The actor and his lovely wife Josephine Edochie have been blessed with six children. Now, those children have gone on to marry and have children of their own. Of the ones we know, Pete’s second son has three children, Yul Edochie has last son has three sons and a daughter – and these are the kids that we’re aware of. Imagine how many others there are. Pete Edochie has a full house!

6. Rita Daniels

Another Nigerian actress who has a grandchild and a very famous one too is Nollywood actress Rita Daniels. After Rita Daniels’ 18 year old daughter Regina Daniels infamously got married to much older Nigerian billionaire Ned Nwoko, the two welcomed a baby boy together not too long after.

Rita is now a happy grandma.

7. Genevieve Nnaji

Beautiful Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji just like Ireti Doyle also had a daughter at 17 years old. That daughter, Theodora, is now a grown woman who welcomed a son with her husband Chigozie Ihediwa not too long after their wedding in 2016.

Genevieve is a proud grand mother!
