Having a clean bathroom makes me feel all warm inside.

My bathroom is the place in my home that I feel needs a lot of attention to keep it clean. Sometimes it needs it more than the other places in my home. When I have a clean bathroom, there's a warm feeling I get inside. I like to keep that feeling going, therefore, I clean my bathroom regularly. I feel that to keep it thoroughly clean, there are steps I must take and I’m going to share those steps with you today. Are you prepared to get down to business and thoroughly clean your bathroom? These are my top 5 tips for thoroughly cleaning your bathroom and giving it a brand-new shine.

1. Let's start with the toilet

It's crucial to clean the toilet first because it's frequently the dirtiest area of the bathroom. You're going to want to scrub the entire bowl, including the area under the rim, with a toilet brush and a high-grade cleanser. You have to be sure to get in all of the nooks and crannies that are hard to reach. Also, remember to clean the toilet's exterior as well. I even clean the back of my toilet because I've noticed that it has water marks, possibly from when I flush the toilet. The lid on the back of the toilet may not have a tight seal and it might let water escape during flushing.

Get in the nooks and crannies too.

2. Pay attention to the shower and bathtub

Dirt and soap scum can accumulate there rapidly. To get rid of any residue, use a scrub brush or sponge and a cleanser made especially for these surfaces. Also, dirt and soap scum get under the shower mat so be sure to clean the bottom of your mat every time you clean your tub. Then rinse the tub well to guarantee a clean finish.

Scrub, scrub, scrub. Rinse, rinse, rinse :-)

3. Pay attention to the sink

The sink is another place where filth and grime can gather. The sink, faucets, and drain may all be cleaned using a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. Don't forget to wash down the countertop and pay attention to any locations that are difficult to reach. If you see hard water stains, you're going to want to use something that can get them off without damaging the surface of your faucets or sink.

A soft cloth helps to not scratch the sink surface.

4. Wipe off the mirrors and glass surfaces

Fingerprints and smudges are immediately visible on mirrors and glass surfaces. To ensure a sheen without any streaks, clean them with a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. I like using glass cleaners that have vinegar in them. Glass cleaners with vinegar clean glass really well. And the solution is clear, not blue, like most glass cleaners. The only con of using a glass cleaner with vinegar is that if some of the glass cleaner gets on you while spraying, you run the risk of smelling like vinegar for the rest of the day. But glass cleaners with vinegar clean so well, I just take the risk. Remember to clean any accessories or shelves made of glass as well.

5. Take care of the flooring last

Finally, thoroughly clean the bathroom floors. Once any loose dirt has been removed, mop with an appropriate cleaner. Be sure to get in the corners and clean the baseboards also. When those two are dirty, it can be very noticeable and make your entire bathroom look dirty, even if you just cleaned your bathroom. To guarantee a thorough cleaning, pay close attention to any grout lines or tile fissures.
