WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER POP A PIMPLE AGAIN.

CAN A PIMPLE CAUSE SCARRING.

By Isaac JuniourPublished about a year ago 2 min read

Popping a pimple at the wrong time can lead to scarring. In some cases, it can even be dangerous. If you want to stay safe, avoid popping pimples on your nose. Pimples are unsightly, and despite our advances in space travel, we still struggle with acne prevention. Adding to the problem is our love for sugar. Consuming too much sugar can cause your body to produce excess oil and bacteria. If you want clearer skin, start by reducing your sugar intake. You may be surprised by the improvement.

The body has a natural mechanism for controlling acne. It’s called acne. That annoying pimple you're dealing with is actually your body trying to prevent something worse.

Pimples form when bacteria, which normally live on your skin, get trapped inside a pore on your face. These pores hold dead skin cells and natural oils. Normally, this stuff would be shed onto the skin's surface and removed. When it gets trapped, your skin creates a lesion, or pimple, to kick the bacteria out.

The pustule's purpose is to contain a mix of oil and bacteria. It keeps this from reaching the skin's surface and spreading to other pores. Popping a pimple is a bad idea. When you do, you're allowing all the material that caused the pimple to ooze out. This clogs more pores on your face.

When you poke and prod at a pimple, you push debris and bacteria deeper into the skin. This can trigger a stronger inflammatory response. As a result, the original zit can become even larger.

Popping a pimple can lead to scarring. In some cases, like on the nose, it can even be dangerous. There isn’t a completely safe time to pop a pimple. However, there are safer methods to do it. You will need a tool called a comedown extractor.

Place the zit in the center of the metal loop. Press down firmly. This will force the contents out. What comes out is a mixture of sebum, oils, germs, and dirt. It’s like a thick jam that could be spread on toast. Definitely not something you want to eat!

It is important to get as much of the pimple jam out as possible. This helps prevent the situation from worsening. If some of it is left in, the pimple can stay clogged. It may seem to deflate at first. However, it will quickly fill up again with oils, bacteria, and debris. This can make it come back even worse than before.

Be cautious when dealing with certain pimples. Pop a zit in the wrong area, and you could face serious consequences. The area called the 'triangle of death' includes zits along the nasal bridge to the corners of the mouth. These should be left alone. Popping them can push bacteria deeper into the skin. This can lead to an infection and other health risks.

The triangle of death contains many blood vessels that go straight to the brain. If deadly bacteria enter this area, serious health issues can occur. One risk is meningitis. This is an infection of the tissues around the brain and spinal cord. Another risk is cavernous sinus thrombosis. This condition causes a clot that blocks blood from reaching the brain.
