Light consist of smaller massless photon particles. Light travels in form of Electro magnetic waves.

When you see the stars in night, there is a common term referring that you are peeping into the past.

That is why because the stars that you are seeing now actually emitted its light millions of years ago. That light takes many light years to travel and reaching your eyes. For example:Sunlight takes 8.2 minutes to reach earth surface.A star closest to our earth emits a light that takes 4 light years to reach us.

A light year is the distance travelled by the light in one year (Earth duration). Speed of light is 300000Km/s. With this speed we can travel around the earth 7times within a second.

Subatomic particles are accelerated with speed of light (achieving 99.9999991% of light's speed). This is possible with large hadron collider(LHC). No manmade particle has ability to achieve this speed, because it violating Einstein's mass energy equation.

Make an object travel in speed of light shows that increase in speed of an object cause increase its mass. That is not possible according to nature physics law.

Particles travelling faster than light is something like darker than black. It is impossible event.

But an info important there to mention is, Universe expands faster than light according to Big Bang Theory. There is a common fact that a Black hole absorbs light due to its greater gravitational power. But it is wrong , light has no mass so it doesn't get attracted by gravitational pull of Black hole. But the black hole interfere in the shortest path chosen by light. Light's speed is finite, but we still have infinite to learn about it.

So from this we can conclude that particle with zero like light has move faster than light. Till now no object moves faster than light in Whole universe. But the universe expands faster than light. Breakthrough Star shot is a man-made prototype non human space craft which can move with a speed of 55000Km/s(20% speed of light). It is operated using laser beam technology. But this project is under research and expected to complete at 2030. Before this breakthrough Star shot the manmade object that achieve highest speed of 11,000Km/min is parker solar probe.

As we mentioned above if speed of an object increases, its mass also increases. Simultaneously, Time duration decreases. For example: Imagine If you are in a space craft moving with speed of light, then clock in the space seems to be running slow. This is due to special theory of relativity. Time always relative. If you go beyond the speed of light you will definitely experience a paradox that you are moving forward in time, that is similar to time travel. You can see the future but not the past. At that speed, you can't able to see the stars behind you because the light emitted can't reach you. It is like you are travelling in a underground tunnel. But the object in front of you (you are approaching) seems red in color because red light emits longer wavelength. The objects seems lengthy due to lorentz effect as you are moving faster with speed of light. Your visible spectrum becomes wider and you can see infrared,UV,etc...besides visible spectrum. Even a lighter small hydrogen atom hits the space craft like a bullet.

Another important fact to note here is we can't see beyond our universe. There may be possibly another universe beyond us. But the expansion of our universe sheds the light emitted by other universe. Our universe acts like a blanket that is go on expanding. This is a theoretical view of researchers. By finalising all theories, we can conclude that travelling faster than light is quite impossible thing. But theoretical view on effects of travelling at speed of light is well discussed.
