What do you think of couchsurfing?

Couchsurfing is more about cultural exchange than free accommodation.

From the origin of sofa, it is true that free is originally considered, but what really makes sofa become culture is win-win, respect, cultural exchange, trust, mutual assistance and these ideas.

Domestic couchsurfing is more for free, perhaps because under the same cultural system, the environment is similar, it is not easy to see different ideas and life experiences from different people. This leads to the expectation of the sofa owner, often in the Chinese sofa guest body can not be realized. For example, among the Chinese couchgoers I have received, some of them can meet my expectations for different life experiences. The density is much lower than that of foreigners. I believe that many sofa owners also have the same expectations as me.

Foreigners are in a different environment than us, with over 200 countries, and the likelihood of experiencing repetition is almost zero, which results in almost everyone bringing stories that are new to us. Even if they are expressing the same values as us, it is interesting: so is their country and their people. -- Of course, it must be much fresher. In addition, European countries are relatively open and developed, and most people's experience will make us feel amazing, so the sofa owners will always have the motivation to do it. I have hosted a cyclist from Switzerland to China, a Gay couple who walked for four years from Istanbul to my home, a gay couple who is 60 years old from Canada and 20 years old from Turkey, and a Japanese couchwalker who has been working in our company for more than two years. Their views on life often make me re-examine and revise my views on life and the world.

2. Chinese couch surfers tend to be lazy.

As a couch owner, I am actually a lazy person, but I will not feel trouble if I am lazy. When a couch guest comes, if there is a lack of benefits from cultural exchange, I will leave a stall for the couch owner to clean up, or I feel that the couch is similar to an inn and should be taken care of by the couch owner. That would cause a lot of discomfort for the couch owner. Chinese couchsurfing, many will do so. (Several of my friends in Chengdu who are couchowners have either closed their couches or refused to accept couchholders from certain places or identities due to bad experiences.)

Foreigners, they will be open, will be casual, but also will help you do a lot of housework, when you go, more will bring the traces of cleaning. Two years ago, when I came home from work, there were three waves of couchgoers, two waves of foreigners, from Germany and Belgium. They squatted on the floor to help me clean the corner of the bathroom with wire balls. None of my cleaners worked so hard. A few days ago, the Belgian Geek sofa, will fly the next morning, the night before the night also instructed my girlfriend to do the access homework until 12:30 am. Maybe it is because I pay special attention to them in other countries, or maybe it is because of the benefits of cultural exchange, which makes me more tolerant to them. But anyway, Chinese people really have more self-centered habits. (What people do when they travel abroad -- Egypt, everywhere, Chiang Mai, breaking traffic rules, letting children into temple meadows -- is a reflection of the self-centered and disrespectful state of mind we are used to.)

What is couchsurfing? 1. You may stay in accommodation provided for you while you are away; 2. When he comes to you, he may also stay in the accommodation provided for him by you; 3. In exchange, it's completely free. People who participate in this form of home exchange are couchsurfing.

Couchsurfing just means "sleeping on someone else's couch." The word "Couchsurfing" comes from a global self-help surfing site called Couchsurfing. It was founded on January 1, 2003 by a young man named Fant from the United States. The idea originated from a trip abroad, and its novelty and money-saving features quickly spread among hipsters. As of December 31, 2010, there are more than 2.4 million registered members in 245 countries (regions) and more than 80,000 cities. Tens of thousands of new members join the couch surfing family every week.
