War Between Israel and Palestine: An In-Depth Analysis Beginning of the War and Background:

On October 7, 2023, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine reached new heights. Hamas, a Palestinian resistance organization, surprised Israel by attacking southern Israel on that day. They broke through border security with over 5,000 rockets and attacked both military and civilian targets. Many Israelis were kidnapped and taken into Gaza, and approximately 1,200 Israeli citizens and soldiers were killed

In response, the Israeli government declared a full-scale retaliation and began intense airstrikes and ground operations in the Gaza Strip. Since then, the region has been engulfed in a devastating war.

Accidents and Suffering: Palestinians have suffered the highest number of casualties in this war. The Health Ministry of Gaza claims:

Over 42,500 Palestinians have been killed, with approximately 70% being women and children. There have been over 99,000 injuries.

Nearly 6 million Palestinians have been forced to flee their homes or have been forced to live as refugees.

On the other hand, around 1,200 Israelis were killed, with many others injured.

In Addition,

The conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 60 journalists, over 150 healthcare workers, and numerous teachers and students.

Types of Weapons and Attacks:

This conflict is known as an asymmetrical war because one side, Hamas, uses guerrilla tactics and resistance strategies while the other, Israel, has a powerful and modern military.

Hamas:-

has utilized numerous missiles and rockets.

Carries out underground tunnel operations and guerrilla-style attacks inside Israeli territory.

Has allegedly used drones and improvised explosives.

Israel:-

Has deployed F-16, F-35 fighter jets, drones, and heavy artillery. Has dropped over 29,000 bombs on Gaza.

Unguided bombs made up about 40% of these, destroying a lot of civilian areas.

Humanitarian Crisis:-

Ordinary citizens are the war's greatest casualties. Currently, Gaza is:
In the absence of power,

Without electrical r, Having a significant water shortage, inadequate facilities for treatment and medical supplies. The United Nations reports: In Gaza, more than one million people are surviving without basic humanitarian assistance. Medical supplies, fuel, and food are severely restricted.

Bombs have hit refugee camps and hospitals as well. Many injured people can't get the care they need because there are too many people in hospitals and not enough resources. Because there was not enough equipment or electricity, surgeries were stopped.

Concerns and Reactions Worldwide:

Global outrage and concern have been sparked by this war. The United Nations, OIC, European Union, and multiple human rights organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access.

Bangladesh's position:

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in Parliament:

> "No one benefits from this war. I call for an end to this conflict.”

The government of Bangladesh has voiced its support for Palestine and pleaded with the international community to exercise moderation and work toward peace.

War through the eyes of a child" I came across a photo this morning while browsing the internet that shocked me. A young boy was sitting next to the ruins of a destroyed home in Gaza. His eyes were empty—silent, expressionless, yet full of pain.
Right now, I’m sitting comfortably on my bed, a warm cup of coffee in my hand, trying to put these thoughts into words. However, what about them? For them, even the word pain feels like an understatement.
The Israel-Palestine war, for many of us, is just about numbers—so many killed, so many injured. But behind every number, there’s a story. a couple. a feeling. A life that once laughed, loved, and hoped.
I felt compelled to write today, not to criticize anyone or anything, but rather to simply consider our shared humanity. Let this moment be about compassion, not politics.
Because in the end, every child deserves peace. Every home deserves to stand. And every heart deserves to heal.
