GERMANY

There are three main types of Germany visas:

Short-term (C visa): This visa is also known as Schengen Visa which allows the visa holders to visit Germany and all other Schengen countries for up to 90 days in a 180 day period.

Long-term (D visa): The D-visa is a national visa that permits the holder to reside temporarily in Germany for employment or educational purposes. While you may travel to other Schengen nations, residence is permitted solely in Germany.

Airport transit (A visa): An airport transit visa is required if you have a connecting flight in Germany on route to a third country. Citizens from 20 nations require an airport transit visa for Germany, even if they remain within the transit zone.

Tourist & Visitor Visa

A Schengen visa is required for tourists or visitors traveling to Germany from countries lacking a visa-free agreement. This encompasses citizens from India, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Africa, and over 100 additional nations.

Citizens of visa-exempt countries may visit Germany for a duration of up to 90 days without a visa. This encompasses citizens from the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and more than 60 additional nations.

Business Visa

If you are from a country that does not have a visa-free agreement, you will need to obtain a visa if you are visiting Germany for business. This encompasses citizens from India, Pakistan, Egypt, China, the Philippines, Thailand, and more than one hundred additional nations.

Individuals from any of the 60+ countries having a visa exemption agreement, including the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, or Japan, may travel to Germany for business purposes without a visa, provided their stay does not surpass 90 days.

Student Visa

A foreigner may obtain a German student visa upon receiving a letter of full acceptance to a German university, an equally recognized institution, a university of applied sciences, a college of arts and music, or another similarly recognized higher education institution. A German student visa permits either full-time university studies or preparation programs, such as a foundation course, prior to such studies.
