Using Dishwasher Tablets, You Can Clean These 10 Surprising Things.
Do you know of any more intriguing uses for dishwasher tablets?

It shouldn't come as a surprise that dishwashing tablets can be used to clean items other than the dishwasher since they were made to handle hard water, remove stains, and breakdown grease and fat present in protein-based foods. Even if you don't have a dishwasher, you may want to buy some dishwasher tablets! (Also, if you choose the liquid or powder form.)
We put Finish Powerball Tablets to the test on greasy oven doors, scorched pots and pans, and more. The results astound us. We then went in quest of additional household items that could be cleaned with dishwasher tablets. Here's what we discovered.
Safety reminder: As usual, it's a good idea to wear protective gloves when handling cleaning products and to avoid breathing in any fumes directly.
1). In Your Refrigerator
A nasty sticky mess may have resulted from an unexpected accident in your refrigerator. You only need warm water and a dishwasher tablet. The tablet should first be cleaned of any loose food before being dipped in warm water and the remaining material scraped off using the flat side. Use warm water to rinse after cleaning.
2). Leaks of Oil
A dishwasher tablet might assist in removing the stain if your car has spilled oil on your driveway or garage floor. Wet the area and scrub the stain with a dishwasher tablet once the oil has been completely absorbed (cat litter or cornstarch works excellent for this). You might need to use several pills, depending on how much spilled. About a half-hour after using the detergent, rinse the stain thoroughly with warm water.
3). Tea and Coffee Rings
You best believe that if coffee can be used to color textiles, it will ruin your mugs if they aren't immediately rinsed off. It only requires warm water (fill the container 3/4 full) and a dishwasher tablet (or a piece of one! ), even if the stains can be difficult to remove and may appear to be permanent. The stains should all be removable with hot water after an hour. Use bottles, carafes, and flower containers as well for this practical trick!
4). In Your Oven's Door
Dealing with food that has been baked on is never easy, especially if the food is on the oven's interior. The glass and door of your oven can be easily cleaned with a dishwasher tablet soaked in warm water.
5). The Sink
It's astonishing how quickly the sink bottom can begin to appear dirty. Even the most spotless sink might appear unclean due to scrapes from pots and pans and discolouration from dark liquids. Yes, Barkeepers Friend is a fan favorite, but if you're out, a dishwasher tablet doubles as a scouring pad and detergent. Simply fill the sink with warm water, put on gloves, and rub the dishwasher tablet. Rinse it with warm water once it appears glossy and new.
6). Laundry Machine
It's critical to clean your washing machine approximately every three months because bacteria and lime can accumulate there over time. There are a few other approaches, as there always are, but for this one, all that is needed is to place a tablet in the drawer and turn the machine's hot cycle on. In order to save water, throw a load of rags or kitchen towels in the washer. Check to see if the tablet has left any residue once it has finished. If discovered, merely clean the drawer and drum with a damp rag.
7). Patio Furniture Made of Plastic
Dishwasher tablets are a quick and simple way to get rid of tough stains if you've noticed that your patio furniture is starting to look a bit worse for wear. One tablet can be dissolved in a pail of warm water or used as a scouring pad to get rid of stubborn stains. Note: Plastic absorbs this the best, so test a small, hidden area first to make sure it won't stain it.
8). The Trash Can
Even though garbage cans are disgusting, they shouldn't be. The bin may be kept quite clean by immediately wiping away food waste that spills on the lid or sinks to the bottom, but it's a good idea to give it a bath at least twice a year. The simplest method is to: Put a dishwasher tablet into the can after you've filled it as high as you can with warm water. After you've waited for it to dissolve, rinse the can with hot water.
9). Burned Pots and Pans
A dishwasher tablet easily removes burnt and scorched food off cookware in the same way it does on your oven door. Although there are undoubtedly better approaches, in a pinch, this one works.
10). The Bathroom
Put a dishwashing tablet into the toilet bowl when it's time to tackle the bathroom. Next, take care of the flooring, shower, and sink, saving the toilet for last. By doing this, the tablet will have had some time to dissolve and should be easier to remove from the toilet bowl. The pill can also be used to remove rings left behind by hard water.
