Unraveling the Tapestry of Pakistani Health
Unveiling the Challenges

We all succumb to collective anxiety and suffering from a sense of loss and perennial sadness. Gloom is growing and hope is battered. Pakistan is part of a poly-crisis surrounded by political instability, pushed into the quagmire of economic crisis, unsolved endless problems, poor democracy, internal disputes, and the game of thrones led the country at the stake of being default. We are still teetering on the verge of chaos . There has not been any solution that has been put forward to deal with it. There is no individual who has not been slandered and still all in vain.
Our body is a garden and we are the gardeners. The gardens seem to be overwhelmed by the excessive irritants which on a daily basis are being added to its destructivity. A child carries a heavy bag, endures a long trek to become a contributor to his country, and faces stunted growth with adequate intake of micronutrients due to which the individual succumbs to hazardous diseases. A child who wants to secure his future is deprived of the necessary nutrients of his syllabus.45% of children face stunt growth. Before their birth, their mothers during pregnancies encounter serious complexions which unleash indelible impacts on their offspring.
Recent reports show gloomy statistics of youngsters at an average of 1200 drug addicts per day.466 die daily. Some adhere to nicotine pouches and vape culture.72% of drug addicts are women. Dope tests showed pace among drug addicts. A boy was asked for the cause of the high rise in smokers, he said" Family expectations, good grades inflation, and mental pressure"
The dismal statistics draw that there are 300000 cases related to malaria 800000 abortion cases among women, 1200 daily drug addicts and 41 million do not have access to washrooms. More than 2 million are living in oblivion without having food for a day.26 million are victims of eye diseases, 40% are obesity cases which then leads to chronic diseases. The life expectancy in Pakistan has been reduced to 2.7 years. The health insurance is only done by 25 million families in Shaukat Khanum. Thousands are treated free. Is the health budget 24 billion enough to provide basic health facilities to 222 million individuals? Lahore is among the top most polluted cities according to WHO.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX OF PAKISTAN
IS ZERO
In order to deal with the matter of life and death, I would like to suggest few measures.
Rapid Response and Preparedness: Establish a dedicated task force with medical experts, policymakers, and public health officials to swiftly respond to the crisis. Develop and implement a preparedness plan with clear protocols for early detection, isolation, and treatment.
Healthcare Infrastructure Strengthening: Invest in healthcare infrastructure, including hospitals, clinics, and medical supplies, to bolster capacity and improve the ability to handle surges in patient numbers.
Public Awareness and Education: Launch a nationwide public awareness campaign to educate the population about the crisis, transmission, prevention measures, and available support services.
Vaccination and Treatment: Prioritize vaccine distribution and administration to curb the spread of infectious diseases. Facilitate research and development for effective treatments and make them accessible to all.
Data Monitoring and Analysis: Implement a robust data monitoring and analysis system to track the outbreak's progression, identify hotspots, and make data-driven decisions.
International Collaboration: Collaborate with global health organizations and neighboring countries to share information, resources, and expertise in controlling the crisis.
Mental Health Support: Establish mental health helplines and counseling services to address the emotional toll of the crisis on individuals and communities.
Economic Relief: Provide financial support to affected individuals and businesses to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the crisis.
Community Engagement: Engage community leaders and organizations to promote adherence to preventive measures and disseminate accurate information.
Transparent Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the public, sharing updates, guidelines, and progress regularly to build trust and cooperation.
One cannot enjoy his health while possessing a bunch of diseases. If the world can spend millions of dollars on waging wars, why not on HUMANITY?
