Prophet Idris AS desired to remain in heaven after viewing it and did not want to depart. Because of Prophet Idris's charity and piety, Allah decided to take his life and give him eternal life in heaven.

The Bani Qabil were the people of Prophet Idris. The people were Qabil's descendants, and their religion was fire, not Allah.

Prophet Idris AS cherished the truth and was never conceited. The explanation for this is that he had a noble and good heart.

Allah declares:

Ważkur fil-kitābi idrīsa innahụ kāna ṣiddīqan nabiyyā, Wa rafa'nāhu makānan 'aliyyā.

Meaning:

And tell (O Muhammad to them), the story of Idris in the Book (Al-Quran). Indeed, he was a man who loved the truth and was a prophet, and we have raised him to high dignity. (QS. Maryam: 56-67) Even though he is a prophet and apostle before Allah SWT, Prophet Idris is always diligent in worship, prayer, always patient, and always respects others.

He likes to bow down, prostrate, and can even cry when he hears or has the verses of Allah SWT read to him.

3. Persistent, Courageous and Patient

Apart from being intelligent and clever, Prophet Idris was known to have great courage. He often achieved victory in war and was not even afraid of death.

Therefore, Prophet Idris was given the title Asadul Asad (lion of all lions)

Prophet Idris encouraged his people to pray, donate alms, and fast consistently during his sermons by being patient and enthusiastic.

Verses 85–86 of Surah Al-Anbiya in the Qur'an state:

{وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ, وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Wa ismā'īla wa idrīsa wa żal-kifl, kullum minaṣ-ṣābirīn, Wa adkhalnāhum fī raḥmatinā, innahum minaṣ-ṣāliḥī

It means:

And (remember the story) Ismail, Idris, and Zulkifli. All of them are patient people. We have included them in Our mercy. Indeed, they are among the pious people. (QS. Al-Anbiya: 85-86).

4. Take Firm Action Prophet Idris AS is known to be patient, yet he also enjoys taking decisive action. Particularly to unjust and infidel people.

Actually, pious, wise, tenacious, and modest followers of Allah SWT are greatly loved by him. Thus, in order to educate his people the truth, Allah SWT designated Prophet Idris as a prophet and apostle.

Wonders Throughout Prophet Idris's Entire Story He was bestowed with supernatural gifts and marvels all of his life. In the tale of Nabis Idris, the ensuing is an extremely comprehensive miracle.

1. Acquiring thirty Sahifahs. Prophet Idris received thirty pieces of Sahifahs from Allah SWT, which contained directives for him to deliver to his people—that is, the descendants of Qabil who were disobedient at the time.

Allah SWT designated Prophet Idris to combat evil and unbelief and to call all of his people to worship Allah SWT as the Only God.

The revelations revealed by Allah SWT's prophets and apostles, which were gathered and documented on paper, camel skin, and other materials, can be understood as this Sahifah.

2. According to QS. Maryam verses 56–57, Prophet Idris was a prophet of great dignity, indicating that his level is high.

Aside from his fame as a holy prophet, Prophet Idris holds a prominent position, and Allah SWT assigned him to that group.

3. The Initially Written and Read Prophet

Prophet Idris's second miracle was that he was gifted with the ability to read and write because he was the first to get it.

Prophet Idris always instructed the community in writing, even in his own time. As a result of that instruction, works that subsequently assisted historians in learning about living in the past were produced.

4. The First Prophet to Comprehend Architecture and Astrology

Prophet Idris was gifted not just in reading and writing but also in the Science of Falaq (stars), or astronomy. The natural occurrences that Prophet Idris continually observed were manifestations or indications of Allah SWT's magnificence.

In addition, he was credited with being the first person in political science history to be aware of city development plans.

5. Journey to See Heaven and Hell

Once upon a time, Angel Izroil and Prophet Idris were praying together. Prophet Idris again made a special request.

Prophet Idris enquired, "Can you take me to see the beauty of heaven and the terrible fire of hell, O Angel Izroil?"

"O Prophet of Allah, once again your request is truly strange," answered Angel Izroil. Why did you make that request? You begged for damnation when even the angels shudder to think about it.”

In response, Prophet Idris said, "I must admit that I am terrified of Allah's wrath." After viewing hell, maybe my faith and piety will grow.

Then, Angel Izroil requested Allah's approval to transport Prophet Idris to hell. Allah granted this desire. After that, they visited hell.

Prophet Idris fainted the moment he was almost at the spot. because he saw a terrifying angel of hell as a protector. People who disobeyed Allah while they were alive were dragged and tortured by him.

It seems that Prophet Idris was unable to endure seeing these genuinely horrifying tortures. The size of hellfire was the most horrific sight he had ever seen in his life. There were horrible roars, burning fires, and other dreadful things.

If his people ever experienced that, he could not fathom it. In order to prevent any of his people from straying from Allah SWT's path and being destroyed by the flames of hell, he also desired to preach more actively.

The prophet Idris then emerged from hell, trembling and terrified. He was still plagued by visions of the hellfire and all of its tortures.

After then, Prophet Idris was carried to heaven by Angel Izroil. Prophet Idris nearly passed out there as well. But he didn't faint because he was terrified or because he saw something ominous. Conversely, he was astonished and captivated by the abundance of beauty that met his gaze.

It was rivers with glass-clear water that Prophet Idris observed. Meanwhile, there were trees with trunks made of gold and silver on the riverbanks. He also seen mansions inhabited by celestial beings.

There were trees with fruits as far as the eye could see, and the fruits were so fragrant, juicy, and fresh. When Angel Izroil was content to just stroll around, he invited Prophet Idris to come back to earth. Prophet Idris, though, did not want to return home. He wanted to stay in heaven because he was lulled.

Then Angel Izroil issued a warning. "When the end comes, you are welcome to remain here. Once Allah SWT has judged all of your acts of worship, you will be able to live in heaven alongside the prophets and other believers.

Seer Idris gave a nod. "I will continue to worship Allah until the Day of Judgment arrives."

That is the whole account of Prophet Idris, including the miracles that befell him. Children or families can make Prophet Idris an excellent role model and understand their future lives by reading this story.
