The Power Of Never Giving Up

A Big Dream

By Hamid Hussain ShahPublished 9 months ago 4 min read

Life is a journey full of ups and downs. Sometimes, things become so difficult that we feel like giving up.

But success only comes to those who stay strong, keep trying, and never lose hope.

This is the story of a boy named Arman, who teaches us the true meaning of hard work, patience, and never giving up.

A Small Village, A Big Dream

Arman lived in a small village surrounded by mountains. The people there were simple and hardworking.

Most families earned their living by farming. Life was peaceful but not easy.

Arman was the youngest in his family. He loved reading books and going to school. His biggest dream was to become a doctor so he could help the people of his village, who had to travel far to find good healthcare.

Every evening, after finishing his homework, Arman would sit outside under the old tree and imagine himself wearing a white coat and helping patients.

His parents smiled and encouraged him, but deep inside, they knew it would be very difficult.

Struggles Begin

As Arman grew older, the challenges became bigger. His school was very far, and he had to walk miles every day, even in heavy rain or burning heat. Sometimes, he didn’t even have proper shoes.

There were days when Arman felt tired and wanted to give up. He saw his friends leaving school to work on farms and earn money.

His family was also poor. They needed help. Arman’s heart was heavy with guilt.

One evening, Arman told his father, "Maybe I should leave school and help you in the fields."

His father looked at him with kind eyes and said, "Son, if you want to help us, finish your education.

You can help the whole village one day. Remember, tough roads lead to beautiful destinations."

These words stayed in Arman’s heart forever.

Facing Failures

When Arman finished school, he applied to a big city college. He wanted to study medicine. But the competition was tough.

Many students were much smarter and better prepared.

In his first entrance exam, Arman failed.

He felt broken. Tears filled his eyes. He thought about all the sacrifices, all the hard days, and he still failed.

For days, Arman stayed in his room. He thought maybe he was not good enough. Maybe dreams were only for lucky people.

But then he remembered his father’s words: "Tough roads lead to beautiful destinations."

He wiped his tears, picked up his books, and started studying again — harder and smarter than before.

Trying Again

This time, Arman made a proper plan. He woke up early, studied with full focus, asked for help whenever he didn’t understand something, and took small breaks to refresh his mind.

He also started teaching younger kids in the village to earn a little money and support his family.

Teaching others made his own understanding even better.

After one year of hard work, he gave the entrance exam again.

This time, he passed!

Arman couldn’t believe it. His parents hugged him tightly, their eyes full of happy tears.

The whole village celebrated. They knew their boy was going to do something special.

Life In The City

City life was very different from village life. Everything was fast, noisy, and expensive.

Arman missed his family, his friends, and the simple life back home.

But he reminded himself of his goal. He was here for a reason.

He studied day and night. There were times he failed small tests, there were times he felt lonely, but he never gave up.

Sometimes he remembered the long walks to his village school, the days without shoes, the hunger he felt when he gave his lunch to a hungry friend — all these memories gave him strength.

He knew he was not just studying for himself but for his entire village.

The Big Achievement

After many years of hard work, sleepless nights, and countless struggles, Arman finally became Dr. Arman.

When he returned to his village, he wore his white coat proudly. His parents couldn’t stop crying with happiness.

The people of the village gathered to welcome him with flowers and cheers.

He didn’t waste time. He opened a small clinic in the village so that nobody had to travel far anymore for treatment.

He treated poor people for free. He also started health camps to teach people about hygiene, clean water, and basic healthcare.

Arman’s dream had come true, but it didn’t stop there. He continued to study and grow.

Later, he built a small school to encourage more kids to dream big, just like he once did.

Lessons We Learn

Arman’s story teaches us many important lessons:

Never Give Up: Failure is not the end. It is part of the journey.

Hard Work Pays Off: There is no shortcut to success.

Dream Big: No dream is too big if you are willing to work for it.

Help Others: True success is when you lift others with you.

Stay Humble: No matter how big you become, never forget where you came from.

Conclusion

Life will always have challenges. There will be moments when you feel like giving up. But remember Arman’s story.

Remember that every difficulty is shaping you into a stronger person.

Keep your dreams alive, work hard, stay patient, and never, ever give up.

One day, you will stand proudly just like Arman — not just for yourself, but for everyone who believed in you.
