Coffee is more than just a morning beverage. It's a source of income for millions of people around the globe, and it has the power to improve lives. In this blog post, we'll explore some of the ways that specialty coffee makes a positive impact on the world. From creating jobs to helping farmers in developing countries, specialty coffee

When most people think of coffee, they think of a delicious morning beverage that gives them a much-needed energy boost. What many people don't realize is that coffee can have a positive impact on the world. In fact, specialty coffee has many benefits for society as a whole.

One of the biggest ways specialty coffee helps the world is by creating jobs. The coffee industry employs millions of people around the globe, from farmers to baristas. In fact, coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world. This creates stability and economic growth in many countries that produce coffee.

In addition to creating jobs, specialty coffee also helps farmers in developing countries. Many small-scale farmers rely on coffee for their livelihood. Specialty coffee pays farmers a fair price for their beans, which helps them to improve their standard of living. In some cases, specialty coffee can even help farmers break out of poverty. Here at Coffee of Valhalla, we ensure our farmers are taken care of, going as far as ensuring they are making higher wages and have access to the medical care they didn't have before.

So, there you have it! These are just a few of the ways that specialty coffee makes a positive impact on the world. After reading this, we hope you have a new appreciation for your morning cup of coffee! Thanks for reading!

Specialty coffee has many benefits that go beyond just providing a delicious morning beverage. It creates jobs, helps farmers in developing countries, and can even help to break the cycle of poverty. Next time you enjoy a cup of coffee, remember its positive impact on the world.

While you can easily find a company selling "specialty coffee," it's an over-roasted bean that comes from a factory farm where they pay just enough to get by the trade laws and have little to no positive impact on the farmers in the regions they come from.

A good company will have a mission behind the bean. Like many of the smaller companies these days, they will ensure that the farmers are paid a fair wage as well as ensure they are buying from farms that are ethically sourced and provide workers with adequate compensation and access the basic human needs like medicine.

I can feel some of the people reading this scoffing and saying well, how much money is my cup of coffee going to cost me! why should I have to pay to have these people taken care of? Well, with our beans, your morning cup of coffee and the best coffee of your life will cost between 55-60 pennies a cup. This is much less than what you are paying for when you get that green straw coffee, and I bet you will like the fresher roasted coffee that is better sourced.

That 55 - 60 penny a cup covers all the cost of the sourcing roasting and donation of 50% to mental health programs, so you can think of it as well. Coffee is too expensive, or you can think of it like this. For less than a dollar, my cup of coffee has this morning already done more in the world than most people have in their lifetime. You are going to start your day off with the best cup of coffee, and it tackles critical social issues like fair trade and mental health! It doesn't get better than that.
