Introduction:

Rahul and his friends were avid adventurers, always looking for the next thrill. This time, their wanderlust had brought them to the remote, mist-laden hills of Sylhet, where a mysterious and secluded hotel awaited. Nestled amidst the dense greenery, the hotel’s eerie charm and cheap booking rates made it an irresistible destination. Online reviews were mixed—some praised its rustic beauty, while others warned of unsettling occurrences. However, Rahul’s curiosity outweighed his caution.

Chapter 1: The Eerie Arrival

The moment they arrived, an unsettling chill embraced them. The hotel's faded sign creaked in the wind, and the once-grand architecture now stood in a state of disrepair. As Rahul, Arnav, Priya, and Shyam walked into the lobby, they were greeted by a receptionist whose eyes seemed to follow their every move with a cold, calculating gaze. His smile felt more like a warning than a welcome.

Their rooms were situated at the end of a dimly lit corridor where the wallpaper peeled away, revealing cracks beneath. The air was thick with a musty odor, and the silence was unnerving. As they settled into their rooms, a strange feeling of being watched crept into their minds.

Chapter 2: The Night of Horrors

Night descended swiftly. As they attempted to sleep, the terror began. Doors creaked open and shut on their own, accompanied by soft, childlike whispers echoing down the corridor. Mirrors reflected figures that didn’t belong to them. Arnav, the most pragmatic of the group, burst into Rahul’s room around midnight, his face pale as death.

“I saw her. A girl... standing at the foot of my bed. Her eyes were white, completely white.”

Rahul tried to laugh it off, attributing it to a nightmare or a trick of the light. But deep down, he could feel it too—something sinister lurked within the hotel's walls.

Priya started having nightmares that left her trembling every morning. Shyam, the joker of the group, had grown eerily silent, his eyes darting around as if expecting something to leap out of the shadows at any moment.

Chapter 3: Uncovering the Truth

Unable to ignore the horrifying experiences, the group decided to speak to the locals the next morning. An elderly tea vendor near the hotel looked at them with a grim expression when they mentioned where they were staying.

“That place? It should have been torn down years ago. The landlord’s daughter died there. Some say she was murdered by someone who worked there; others claim she drowned herself out of grief. But her spirit never left. And neither did the madness that claimed her.”

With every word the old man spoke, Rahul’s chest tightened. Returning to the hotel was a dreadful thought, but their belongings were still there, and part of him needed to confront whatever malevolent presence had begun tormenting them.

Chapter 4: The Desperate Escape

Their decision to leave was unanimous. They hurriedly packed their bags and rushed to their car, only to find that the engine wouldn’t start. Shyam fiddled with the wires, cursing under his breath, but nothing worked. The frustration soon gave way to fear.

Priya checked her phone, only to realize there was no signal. The entire area seemed cut off from the outside world. Panic set in as the reality of their situation became clear.

“Maybe we should just walk away from here,” Arnav suggested, his voice trembling.

But the road leading away from the hotel was long, and nightfall was approaching. They had no choice but to return to the haunted establishment.

Chapter 5: The Terrifying Revelation

Back in their rooms, the torment only grew worse. Shadows danced along the walls, voices whispered their deepest fears, and each of them felt an overwhelming dread they couldn’t explain.

Rahul awoke in the dead of night to find himself completely alone. Desperate, he banged on his friends’ doors, but no one answered. As he stumbled through the darkened hallway, he caught glimpses of his friends—Priya sobbing in the corner of her room, Arnav staring blankly into a mirror as if entranced, and Shyam curled up on the floor, muttering incoherently.

But when Rahul tried to pull them away, his hands went right through them.

Panic clawed at his chest as he realized the horrifying truth: his friends weren’t really there. Or perhaps, they had already succumbed to whatever dark force resided within the hotel.

Chapter 6: The Final Confrontation

Determined to uncover the truth, Rahul ventured into the hotel’s basement—a place no one dared enter. The air was icy cold, and the darkness felt alive, pressing against his skin like a vice.

He discovered old, decaying photographs of the landlord’s daughter. The same pale, white-eyed girl Arnav had seen. A journal lay crumbling on a table, its pages filled with desperate scribbles about vengeance and betrayal.

As Rahul read, he could feel her presence closing in. Her cold breath whispered against his neck, her icy fingers grazing his skin. He tried to run, but the darkness swallowed him whole.

Conclusion:

Days later, the authorities found an abandoned car near the hotel. No trace of Rahul or his friends was ever discovered. The hotel remains there, standing as a monument of dread, its secrets forever lost within its cursed walls.
