The elephant philosophy
The biggest things in the world, should be wary of the smallest things.

I used to watch the movie "The Lion King", I always had a concept that lions are the most bullish on the grasslands. I have been to Africa to see several animal migrations. Once I was in Kenya, summer, suddenly changed the sky, lightning and thunder, all the animals are running, only the elephants do not move, they do not seem to have this concept. The lion in front of the elephant, look around and also slipped away. I said in my heart, why is the lion so timid? Those small animals as soon as the thunder ran away, how the lion also ran away?
Later I found out that in the grassland, lions and elephants are two extreme species. In carnivores, the lion is the "king". And in the whole animal world, carnivores, herbivores combined, elephants are the "king". This is very interesting.
Elephants eat different things from lions, elephants eat vegetarian, which is a large supply, it is easy to get, do not need to compete with who, "and people do not compete", but elephants have to be diligent, all the time eat, the result grew into the largest head. Lions in turn, they eat the last meal without the next, eat a meal tube four or five days, but once to eat dozens of pounds of fresh meat.
The lion's survival is always to kill other animals as the premise, they and other animals is a life and death battle, "you die I can live"; while the elephant is "we all live, but I am more diligent than you. I think these two animals have different philosophies of life.
In addition, the lion is always "pre-emptive", otherwise, it will not eat, so the lion is always eating running animals, catch them, eat them. And elephants always stay there, "post-attack", they never take the initiative to attack, even if the other side is much smaller than they are animals.
I just thought, a person who does not compete with others and does not attack others, to be the most bull. But it seems that this is not enough, you look like this, if others bully you, you must also have the capital of post-attack.
How can an elephant "post-attack"? First, self-protection, its skin has several centimeters thick, the lion simply can not gnaw down, the elephant has "armor. Second, elephants can use their trunks and tusks to pick up the "enemy" and drop them to death. Third, the elephant has several tons of weight, those who do not fall to death "enemy", fell blind, the elephant walked over the other side can trample flat. The above points are particularly simple - protection, pick up, trample, on these, no extra.
I learned a wisdom from the elephant here, to maintain a strong position in the competition, as long as you do three things: First, do not compete, you must do things can not be "you live his death" things, must do "everyone can live" things. Second, to protect yourself. Third, nothing to cause trouble, something not afraid of trouble. When you encounter challenges, you fight back, there must not be superfluous action, to the most simple and effective end of the matter.
I think that both companies and individuals should be like elephants. The Tao Te Ching says, "If you do not compete, no one in the world can compete with you", and the elephant is a typical picture.
The Tao Te Ching also repeatedly says "weakness is stronger than strength", which is also reflected in the elephant. Who are elephants most afraid of? I later found out that the elephant is most afraid of ants. It's funny how ants can kill an elephant!
So, this reminds me of another thing: the biggest things in the world, should be wary of the smallest things. When you feel powerful, you must be aware that what kills you may be the smallest thing, the smallest thing. You have to remind yourself that what kills you is often not your enemies, but may be with your life, the relationship is quite close, you are still quite friendly to those people.
In this way, the fate of the elephant is very interesting: the lion can not put it how, but it was its little brother's little brother, the tiniest friend that you can see every day to harm.
