USA

United states of America(USA) is a great destination for students to pursue their education. A lot of students choose USA as their primary study option due to various reasons:

1. Universities in USA

Universities in USA are ranked very highly worldwide. They are known for providing quality of education in affordable tuition cost. Univeristies in USA offers wide range of courses options to choose from, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based courses are regarded highly in US universities. The univeristies accepts students applications from around the globe.

"According to QS ranking of universities USA has around 35-36 universities ranked amongst the top 100 universities worldwide."

2. Scholarships Opportunities

Students applying abroad for their studies always seek for scholarships and opportunities provided by the universities. Univeristies in USA offers various types of scholarhips. Student is automatically eligible for merit based scholarships after submitting their application to the univeristy. Scholarship amount will vary with the univeristy and your academics, english proficiency score. The better your academics and english proficiency score are, higher the chance of getting better scholarships.

"students from every country are eligible for scholarships in USA univeristies"

3. English Proficiency Requirement

The english proficiency requirement for USA is also flexible. Most of the univeristies will accept ielts score of 6.0 - 6.5 which is equivalent to around 110 in duolingo. If you are undergraduate student, you may also take Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) exam to improve your chance of getting better scholarships. If you are applying for masters, you may take Graduate Record Examination(GRE) to have higher chance of getting better scholarships.

Note: GRE and SAT scores are waived by most of the universities i.e they are not reuqired for admission in most of the universities(English proficiency scores are accepted) (even though its waived you may provide your SAT or GRE score to univeristy to have better scholarships) . However, few univeristies and courses may require you to have SAT for undergraduate student and GRE for graduate students.

4. Flexible Document process

The documentation process of USA is very easy compared to other countries. You dont need to provide hefty banking statements, audit reports, tax clearance etc. You will need to provide your academics, english proficiency, and 1 day balance certificate(it needs to cover your 1 year of tuition and living expenses).

"Faster and easier documentation is one of the main reasons of students applying for USA"

5. Faster Application Process

The application process of USA is also easier. It takes around 5-6 weeks to get your i-20 from most of the univeristies. However, your i20 depends on various factors like: process will be faster if you can provide your application faster, depends on course you are applying i.e (your application may be looked by your study department and take longer process). For most of the courses the application are analysed by the international admission team but can be different with university and courses. Overall, the process is way faster and easier than other countries.

Note: Few university will provide your i-20 within few days (they will require you to pay certain amount for faster process.

"I-20 will contain all the information about your university tuition cost, living expenses and scholarships, You will be required to submit your i-20 during the visa interview as well."

6. Visa Grant/Rejection

While applying to other countries, you have to wait for months to get your visa decision but USA visa grant/rejection is pretty simple. The most important thing in USA visa grant/rejection is visa interview. You have to book visa interview and attend the interview before your mentioned time. Visa officer will take few minutes of your time (In most cases it wont be longer than 5-7 mins) for interview. You will know the decision of your visa during interview, Visa officer will either reject your application/grant you USA F1 visa during the interview.
