Who's ready for some soccer? Yea, not football for this adolescent novel of siblings, parents and friends that will bring the past with the present. 'Soccor Trophy Mystery' is the story of Aiden and Ava and their soccer teammates and friends. There is one question that this story is all about. The question is 'Why was there only one trophy for the boys and girls back when? The case begins and answers are hard to come by for a few reasons. The twins and their friend Daniel start to ask various kinds of questions through the neighborhood for they are students in the Advanced English Literature class at school they seem to be more interested in this case.

Fred Bowen has written a middle school age novel that would be perfect for a Language Arts/Creative writing subject. It shows the beginning of when kids start to use their critical thinking skills along with some investigation skills, as well as doing the necessary research to find the answers you are looking for to solve a problem and not only for fun to solve a mystery of some kind. 'Soccer Trophy Mystery' also shares that working together even with all the up's and down's is better than working alone, but working alone is better at times. Fred also had the twins be able to work with their parents and other adults as well as their friends. This is a story of cooperation and working together.

Red Sky at Night Dragon Tales

Kelvin Vater & Jantien Powell

2020

Pegasus

ISBN: 978-1-910903-31-5

What an imaginationfor all to enjoy for this children's picture book that is written by Kelvin Vater and Jantien Powell will bring out the child in all of us. 'Red Sky at Night Dragon Tales' is the story, of course, of a dragon named Dai, who is a magic dragon that also keeps kids safe while they sleep. This is a story of how dragons travel and have fun and make friends. The story is written a poetic form using rhymes to make it fun for the reader.

Kelvin's poems are quite descriptive with his words, but his words also describes the pictures that Jantien drew. These pictures were all very whimiscal especially the one on the cover. As a poet, Kelvin, wrote his poems it seemed on parchment paper as this is the format chosen for the pages of the book and gives it a sense of history for the reader could get a sense of living in England and Wales could be like. My favorite one was 'Puff Pastry' along with picture for the two worked perfectly together, and I thought it was cute seeing a dragon eating a cupcake and drinking a cup of tea. Kelvin's foreward explained what he wanted to accomplish in writing this book. 'Red Sky at Night Dragon Tales' would make a goo story to teach rhyming words to a Preschool/Kindergarten students.

The world is made up of all kinds. This is the story of twin monsters by the names of Bella and Bertie who were separated at birth and adopted by two very different sets of parents. Bella and Bertie will have to learn will have to be like humans somehow and to be adopted and they were by Mr. and Mrs. Bold and Mr. and Mrs. Bashful, but there will be something that happens to make everyone involved very happy.

'The Monster Twins' written by Robert Hanvik, Karen Hanvik, and Ella Hanvik. This is a young children's picture book that is perfect for a day care that serves infants through preschoolers. It is also a picture book that introduces cultures and geography to early readers. 'The Monster Twins' is quite the adventure story for all to enjoy. The authors use bright and vivid primary colors to depict the monsters and how they live in their various surroundings. Teachers who share this storybook could also teach children their colors, as well as maybe teach some discipline on what not to do and there could be a discussion for a preschool room to show how to treat others around you wherever you happen to be at various times of the day and/or night.
