Prevention is better than cure, and these seven tips can help you live a long and healthy life while also supporting weight loss.

Get right Exercise

In the past, physical labor was a common aspect of daily life. However, in modern times, it's common for individuals to rely on cars to commute to work and spend most of the day sitting. This lack of physical activity is a leading cause of numerous health problems. To combat this, it's crucial to incorporate exercise, such as sports, running, and walking, into our daily routines, particularly if our jobs do not involve physical labor.

Lots of sleep.

Despite its simplicity, many individuals disregard their body's natural sleep signals and stay up late. Ayurvedic and yoga practitioners recommend prioritizing nighttime sleep and daytime activity. However, some students turn to caffeine and other stimulants to stay up late for studying, while others develop habits of being active at night and sleeping during the day. Such unnatural living can lead to detrimental health effects, including an increased risk of cancer and other diseases, according to alternative health practitioners.

Eating at the right time.

Sometimes, we overlook the simple idea of eating only when we are truly hungry and instead eat out of habit or social pressure. However, doing so can lead to poor digestion, acidity, and indigestion, which can increase the likelihood of developing more severe health problems. Having a healthy appetite is a sign of good health, and if you lack an appetite, it's best to wait a while before eating. If your lack of appetite persists even after waiting, it may be necessary to seek medical advice, as it could be a sign of an underlying health issue.

Fast on a Regular, Systematic Basis.

While it's common knowledge that working non-stop for 365 days without any rest would be detrimental to a person's health, we often fail to consider the strain we put on our digestive organs by forcing them to work tirelessly day after day. Unlike a disgruntled employee who can voice their dissatisfaction to their boss, our organs cannot protest in the same manner, but they do send signals indicating the need for rest. Ignoring these signals can result in organ failure. To combat this, periodic fasting is necessary. Taking a break from eating for an entire day can provide much-needed rest to our digestive organs and help eliminate toxins from the body. Regular fasting also frees up time for intellectual and spiritual pursuits, making it a practical practice for anyone, not just hermits in caves.

Take bath before sleeping.

Maintaining proper sleep habits is crucial for overall health and well-being. One helpful practice to prepare for a good night's sleep is to wash your vital motor and sensory organs - such as your hands, arms, eyes, legs, mouth, and genitals - with cool water before bed. This simple act can promote relaxation and help you prepare for a restful and rejuvenating sleep.

Perform meditation on a regular basis.

The connection between our physical and mental well-being is undeniable. In today's world, many ailments are psychosomatic, with stress and anxiety wreaking havoc on our bodies. To combat this, meditation is a powerful mental exercise that can help us detach from the worries of daily life. By learning a simple meditation technique and practicing it regularly, we can cultivate a sense of calm and reduce the impact of stress on our physical health.

Waking up before sunrise.

The age-old saying still holds true - "Early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise." While it may not guarantee wealth, it certainly promotes good health. It's important to get the right amount of sleep - not too much and not too little - to keep your body in top shape. So, make sure to hit the hay at a reasonable hour and wake up refreshed for a healthy start to the day.
